DJT - Daily Japanese Thread #2038

DJT is a language learning thread designed by and for those studying the Japanese language.
Japanese speakers learning English are welcome, too.

I can't hear anything

I don't quite understand see the value of this video... so how do you remember that one is itchy or that 3 is the sun again?

the jew obviously put jesus on the cross, duh

looks like there's nothing to say today... we should probably wait a bit before making another thread when this one dies

Fuck off

it's neither the first nor will it be the last time that some break is necessary, unless you want to stay up all night and bump it

No break is ever necessary

If human beings are social by nature, especially since most people are normalfags, why do migrant parents shut themselves and not learn the new country's language?

Is the fear of failure bigger than the need for socializing?

Next question please

For Brazilian migrants is because they flock together and create expat communities extremely quickly, so they never actually need to use the new language.

Thoughts on Japanese through anime?

Teaches you basics and some words at most

this series sucks really bad, even with jap subtitles it's not good enough to watch

Attached: 84004l.jpg (455x600, 155K)

Season 1 was ok but 2 was so slow and bad
Go watch Overlord instead

Good listening practice if its raw. Bonus points for tricking extroverts that want to produce into sounding like retarded faggots irl

>slow
>1 episode covers one entire volume about second best girl

I was thinking about reading the LNs, but I'm too slow of a consumer for this kind of shit.

凸凹

yeah that's a good reminder that I don't know Japanese. Like 10% comprehension after three years of dedicating my life to this. Although I'm not in the habit of listening to that kind of material.
Finny, can you understand that after 10K hours of anime?

Weak

I'm the kind of person who needs someone to yell at her to start studying. Someone yell at me to start studying.

>her

Tits or gtfo

I'll take it. Thanks user.

Don't study, show tits instead.

I watched the whole thing and understand maybe 40%
often I think I should watch it regularly to get better and actually know some japanese at the end, but damn that's exhausting...

anyway, おやすみ

Outside of some titles of people like 文科省 I had no real trouble following what they talked about in the first 20 minutes

I have a problem with two auxiliary verbs (or whatever they're called) if you can help:

1. What does verb+ まくる mean?
For example 発酵しまくってる or 放屁しまくり

2. What does verb + きる mean?
For example 伸びきる

I can find any of these in the grammar in the grammar reference.

also, what's the kanji in the middle? I'm think there's an 氏 there but I can't find anything by radicals.

尾骶骨

Literally just look up まくる and きる on jisho. Both have definitions for their auxiliary usage.

まくる as an aux verb means to do something over and over again vigorously/all over the place and きる as an aux verb means to do something completely.

Can someone tell me why Japan doesn't just get rid of Kanji and just use the Kana? Just add spaces between words so you can have a language where you can figure out words by the sounds of each letter like many other languages, instead of making everyone memorize thousands of characters.

mad cuz bad

how to learn japanese?

why would you even want to do something like that

Multiple words can have the same reading, so having Kanji makes it easier to distinguish them.

Haha the thread is still up you german fucking faggot

Is 居る the same as いる as from 猫がいます
It says 居る is "being present" so

Same with 有る meaning "to exist" as in 鉛筆があります
Are they the same います / あります verbs without kanji, or are the kanji ones different things?

Yeah 居る is the same いる as in 猫がいます

Technically 在る is the kanji you want to use for existence, and 有る for possession.

I would avoid actually using these though because the words are so simple. Also another technical gripe is you're not supposed to use kanji in auxiliary verbs.

Sasuga, or actually, how do I say this...

jisho.org/search/というか

Probably a good idea to find the time. It'd help with more than just this, I'm sure.
Thanks. なんというか just seems hard for me to process there. Maybe I'm thinking in English again.
Read that already.
