Is that located in East London?

bump

dirty, uninspiring streets

>Kabul Plaza

AYYYAAAA

It is yeah, thanks for noticing.

I've seen worse in San Francisco

Why are Yanks salty as fuck about London?

That's like most American streets

Their country has become so incredibly awful that they simply can't keep up the illusion that their country isn't third-world, so they've shifted to pretending other places have it worse.

not my town's streets

The only thing about London is really cannot grasp is how the city is so rich yet looks so mediocre.

Let's not compare cities to towns then

>Lebara
>Lyca mobile
>Kabul palace
You sure this picture wasnt taken in the Netherlands?

Welcome to America white boy.

american streets is an all encompassing term you used

indeed

Attached: london establishing shot.jpg (765x752, 112K)

The average residential street outside of the few trendy places really do look like the one in the OP.

>implying that doesn't look soulless as fuck

Highly doubt you've ever been here, lad.

>>Lebara
>>Lyca mobile
We have these too here, it's what blaqpipo use to call their family in Africa

I'd fugg the girl in the school uniform standing next to the yellow sign outside the Lycamobile/Shail Mobile store.
Looks like any other busy CBD area.

I have been to London, bruv
Many places that aren’t Kensington or Camden really look shitty for houses worth €500k

>Yank understanding of how GDP works

Are those bikes for hire mainly a tourist thing or do you see local workers getting around on them?

surely not

But we have almost no blacks from Africa and I really wonder if the internet hasnt completely nullified the need for Lebara.
Seriously as soon as Lebara signs start popping up you know you’re entering a shithole

Plenty of workers in the city use them for their commutes, yeah.

And you can't do anything about it

I can well imagine a man writing for forbes knows a great deal more than you, my snaggle toothed rube.

You read those articles in 1 minute and 30 seconds? Wew.

Tim Worstall is a Brit expat, but he's also a crank and I wouldn't take his articles very seriously.

think it's funny people freak out about black people in the UK when they're an incredibly small subset of the population versus Poles and Irish

Nope, northwest London.

House prices are fucking insane here, I'll give you that.

London bike infrastructure is laughable yet some people pretend they live on the continent and ride their bikes regardless

Yikes, to think that East London is even worse...

capitals alawys attract non-whites worldpopulationreview.com/us-cities/washington-dc-population/

According to data from the Census Bureau, the 2012 population of Washington, D.C. breaks down as:

Black or African American: 50.1%
White: 42.9% (non-Hispanic: 35.5%)
Asian: 3.8%
Native American Indian, Alaskan, Hawaiian or Pacific Islander: 0.8%
Two or more races: 2.5%
Hispanics of any race: 9.9%

Damn it feels good to be a convict

>they're an incredibly small subset of the population versus Poles and Irish
I’m 100% certain there’s more blacks than Poles in the UK.
I just feel like in most of the world when an area looks nice it is expensive and when it looks shit it is cheap. In London a nice area has prices starting at 800k and a shithole still costs you 400k.
With so much money going around you would think the government could pave the roads with gold

>Comparing the United kingdom of four wholly different countries with a population of 65 million with a single state from another country that only has a population of 2.5 mil

That's pretty cool. City driving is fucking awful.

>London bike infrastructure is laughable
It's probably multitudes better suited to facilitate cycling to and from the workplace than anywhere in Australia. People who cycle to work in built up urban centres around here are adrenaline junkies more than anything else, you'd be lucky not to get run down by a maniac bus driver.

(・へ・)??

We haven't had a government that has actually bothered to build any new houses since the 70's, which fucks the entire housing market.

Maniac bus drivers are a problem everywhere that will never be fixed.

Over here leftists cities like Amsterdam spend a lot of money to make complete shitholes look like semi-complete shitholes.
London probably has a budget of 100s of billions. They should be able to do more about how ugly some places are.

well, why does the average brit from a pool of 65 million under perform compared with hicks from the south?

Most Africans don't have access to the internet.
Also true, the more Lycamobile and Lebara stores there are, the shittier a city/neighbourhood is.

They're generally pretty good but the moment you enter the inner city area, they go full potato. Fucking god help you if you find yourself accidentally stuck in a bus lane, those fuckers won't slow down for you. Sydney bus drivers are notoriously dangerous.

>from the South
Of the USA. A lot of US states would be complete and utter failures if they weren’t located in the richest country in the world.
Their GDP is high because they get to sell to other states using the US dollar instead of Mississippi rupee.

>under perform
And there's your problem.
You can't compare those two stats and draw a valuable conclusion. Our costs of living are completely different.

Nothing bad. Kabul plaza is a greatplace.

africanews.com/2018/02/06/digital-in-2018-africa-s-internet-users-increase-by-20-percent/
>Users in Africa are up by more than 20 percent, with the reported number of internet users in Mali increasing by almost 6 times since January 2017.
>The number of internet users in Benin, Sierra Leone, Niger, and Mozambique has more than doubled over the past year too.

>Their GDP is high because they get to sell to other states using the US dollar instead of Mississippi rupee.
It's mostly because rich states subsidize poorer states

I've no idea why people keep posting this. It's total nonsense.
Nelson claims he has no source for his tables and that it's original research. He's a journalist and not an economist. So he starts by linking to the Treasury's GDP deflator accounts. I have no idea why -- the deflator is a very different figure and cannot be used outside its own country for anything. His BEA figures must be for 2013 and not 2014, because the figures for the latter weren't released until a year after he'd written this article.
He links the OECD figures for the UK's GDP per capita, and it seems reliable -- $46,979 (OECD) vs $46,783 (World Bank). Those figures are both in current dollars, and the BEA chains their figures to 2009, so $46,979 should be $40,062 in 2009 dollars.
That puts the UK ahead of Maine and Michigan and just behind Vermont.
Where he gets his tables from these figures I've absolutely no idea, he neither explains nor cites any sources whatsoever.
