Hi there, I'm going to Stockholm in mid Octobre for about a week. Do you have any recommendations for me, sights to see, places to visit?
Do you have SL 7 day tickets?

Unless you know someone there it might end up boring, just a grey city
>places to visit
swedish bois' bp

Yes.

Depends entirely on what you want to do.

I recommend walking around in the following areas: Djurgården, Södermalm, Gamla Stan, Östermalm, Gärdet, Vasastan, Kungsholmen.
I hope you're good at socializing if you're travelling alone
You can visit Stockholm without socializing. Autism is normal here.
Take the boat to Vaxholm and maybe visit Visby if you have time.
I have been to Stockholm for 2 days, it's the most boring city I ever visited.
Everywhere was literally quiet by 8 pm.
Prepare for lots of sushi places
No point spending money on travelling then
>Everywhere was literally quiet by 8 pm.
that's the charm of this city. You can actually live here and not get noisesickness
A must while in the capital.
It does seem pretty quiet for a major city.
Thanks. I'll be around Humlegarden Park and will visit that Vasa Museum.
Oh right, I never think of these since it's something you visit as a child
Humlegården is a pretty great starting point if you want to walk. I work nearby and walk around there at lunch every day.
>since it's something you visit as a child
Or if you are interested in history, naval construction, ships etc etc.
>Vasa Museum
This, best museum in Stockholm.
Also the medieval museum.

Any not so expensive takeouts you can recommend around Birger Jarlsgatan/west of that library in the park?
What's your definition of "not so expensive"? If you want cheap, then Falafelkungen (kebab) on Sveavägen (next to the library).
If you want better kebab, then Maydan is a syrian restaurant close by.
If you want a nice lunch, then Restaurang Cypern on Valhallavägen is very good and affordable price.
If you want decent, student priced lunch then any place along Valhallavägen next to Tekniska Högskolan metro is good, like Trattoria or Asian Wokhouse. Tell them you're a student.
>What's your definition of "not so expensive"?
All I've looked at is restaurants starting at 20€ for something decent. Thanks for the tips.
Do any other stores sell cider apart from Systembolaget thing stores? You seem to have quite the variety to choose from.
Any (Swedish) food I have to try (restaurant or from a supermarket, then cold)?
Not him but no other store sells alcoholic beverages above 3.5% in alcohol besides Systembolaget. You can buy low alcohol (3.5% and below) in normal grocery shops though.
>Jow Forums actually manages to have a friendly discussion about travel advices without being derailled by insults
i like this kind of stuff
>Do any other stores sell cider apart from Systembolaget thing stores? You seem to have quite the variety to choose from.
Regular supermarkets like ICA or COOP sell teenager tier cider (Herrljunga or Kopparbergs) and pisswasser beer (Norrlands Guld, Pripps, Carlsberg, Heinieken).

Restaurant

Supermarket:
look for skagenröra at the deli
Thanks.
>I work nearby
Where would you go to buy bananas, water and maybe some snacks?
>Where would you go to buy bananas, water and maybe some snacks?
I get free fruit from work and water is obviously available at work.
Knowing what you intended with the question, the best places for that are supermarkets. Lidl has ok prices for innercity, but "ICA Supermarket" or "Coop Konsum" are good as well.
Next to the entrance of Östermalmstorg metro station from the Sturplan exit is a very good supermarket store called "t-jarlen". It's very close to Humlegården so I recommend you go there.
I don't recommend 7eleven/pressbyrån (swedish 7eleven). A part from coffee, they are overpriced to the max.
it's a boring city with not much going on
everything is closed after 9 pm except pubs and there are no people on the streets left
you can only buy alcohol at Systembolaget which closes early on weekdays and even earlier on saturdays (completely closed on sundays), decent beer costs $10 in restaurants or pubs
Vasa museum is cool I guess, and it's nice to take one of the ferry trips around Stockholm
also D-Pubs are ok, go drink there
also, it was probably more interesting for me than for you because I got to see how civilized and developed country looks like for the first time, meanwhile for westernoid such as yourself it will be just another westernoid city you've been a million times to already
Ach Polsky you make me sad reading this. It does look pretty well kept, good for them not getting bombed and all.
don't be sad, while I can clearly observe that Sweden is more developed than Poland, I'd rather kill myself than live there among sw*Doids
