yes, my parents are from there, but I wouldn't really identify myself as romanian since I can't speak it all too well. however, lately I am starting to force myself to speak it around my parents to try to learn it better, and they wilp catch any grammatical errors, so I hope it will be all good. oh yeah, and my parents also know how to make seemingly endless different types of ciorba, all of which are absolutely delicious, so all is good in that case too

The tricolour has been used in Romanian lands for a long time, not necessarily as a symbol of pan-Romanian statehood but as a national thing nontheless. The 3 colours on our flag became especially used during the reign of Mihai Viteazul, when they were present on doccuments and shields. Not only that, but the blue-yellow-red colour combination was present on all incarnations of the Romanian flag since we achieved statehood, and flipping it around / dropping communist symbolism does not make it any less true. Chad and Andorra can fuck right off.
