because america does things very differently from the rest of the western world and people are angered by things different from them.
its socially acceptable to hate america because we are one of the more conservative nations in the west
we are patriotic while a lot of the west (mostly europe) have been conditioned to not believe in national pride

overall people are entitled to their opinions. I can see why people who grew up in a different environment and were taught different values would not like america but I personally enjoy my life and like my country. even if I were given a choice I wouldn't move anywhere
