I will give you example that will make you understand germans as a people.

They drive on their summer holiday with a 50k euro camper to norway but still steal toilet paper from public toilets. The mentality of being a cultureless shit must be somewhere really deep down inside. They drive to some natural place then proceed to look at it(no hiking, no camping) just glaring at a mountain from the side of the road. Then they drive like 2 days back to the miserable germany they call their home.

Germans are well regarded in America. The stereotype is intelligent, educated, and innovative, like others have said, but also weird and semi-autistic. The good easily outweighs the bad. I used to work in a tourist area that got a lot of European visitors and we could always spot a German because they would stop and read every bit public signage. It was honestly kind of endearing.
