Is Canada the best country in the world?
no
it's the hugest shithole in the world falsely classified as a first world country
not really but I like Canadians
probably, definitely one of them if not
nope
>canada then full of uncivilized inuits
>canada now full of civilized anglos
I don't get it.
When you get to the top ranks all of the countries there are pretty much the same for quality of life, you just pick which language/accent, food, weather, scenery, holidays, and sports, you like best and say that is the best country. Judging by most metrics the top countries to live in currently are:
>Iceland
>Norway
>Denmark
>Sweden
>Finland
>Canada
>Australia
>New Zealand
>Netherlands
>Belgium
>Luxembourg
>Switzerland
These are the best countries on earth right now and routinely score in or near the top 10 of basically every index related to quality of life. Often just trading places with one another.
VisualPolitik is leftist cancer propaganda and youre a fucking faggot if you watch it
>we can haz gold
Higher suicide rates than than the US.
Higher homelessness rates than the US.
Lowest tourism rates in North America, Significantly lower than even Mexico.
Nah, not the best country.
Nope.
Left there 6 years ago, never looking or going back.
What didn’t you like about it?
>anglos
>civilized
>Higher suicide rates than than the US.
Canada is 12.3, USA is 14.3 per 100k
>Higher homelessness rates than the US.
Homeless rate in Canada is .09%, USA is .17% (not to mention you have the world's highest incarceration rate so lots of your homeless are there, at least the ones not being eaten by naked men on bath salts in Florida)
>Lowest tourism rates in North America
3rd highest in all of the Americas
>Significantly lower than even Mexico.
$1.2 million difference with Mexico. Not sure that's significant in a multi billion dollar industry. Not sure what tourism has to do with quality of life anyway. Imagine looking at your neighbors and saying, "sure the Johnson family next door has the cleanest, safest, healthiedt, best educated, and nicest, house by far, but they get so few visitors. Must suck to be them."
>Nah, not the best country.
Maybe not but certainly better than yours and every other country on our side of the globe.
The only other Anglo country I could see myself moving to is New Zealand, especially now that they've banned foreigners from buying real estate.
it's alright, there's good things and bad
I'm lucky that I fell in love with the landscape, and I don't mind the people and cheap cars, so I wouldn't really go anywhere else
The question isn’t best country to live in, the question is best country in the world. The number of people who visited Canada in 2016 was 20 million, compared to Mexico being 35 million, and the US being 75.6 million.
So if the metric is which Nation is the most interesting, exciting, and pleasant place to visit, the international community seems to place Canada dead last by a significant bit.
Going to Mexico is a LOT cheaper than going to Canada, plus it shares borders with more countries than us. US got less than 4x as many people as us despite having 10x more people. Got more tourists per capita then.
people don't visit to live somewhere, attractions don't correlate to quality of life, otherwise living in the dumpster behind Disneyland would be heaven
Again, this isn’t a quality of life question. It seems pretty inarguable to me that canadians have the best average standard of living in North America.
But if the question is, who’s is cooler, the you you guys are dead last. I feel like looking at how many people want to come to your country is a good indicator of coolness.
but tourists ruin everything they touch, so if you have more tourism typically you just have the spoiled version of a good thing, see every beach ever
I don’t see how having a large populate impacts your tourism rates. France best the US and has a fraction of the population.
And yes, I’m willing to admit that France is cooler than the US. And we’re both much cooler than Canada.
This is true, for sure. Tourist are a pain in the ass.
That’s beside the point though. I’m just using tourism rates to judge the level of interest people have in a country.
Larger population implies more cities and more cities implies more attractions.
The costs stop a ton of people honestly. Most people when they think of Canada they think the Rockies, that's Western Canada, for Europeans that's extremely far and expensive, most can't afford it, and Banff is very expensive as well. Our most Touristic Place is Quebec City and that's most cause of American tourists. I am sure a country like Canada would have a lot more success if the US wasn't its neighbor. Like I don't consider us "less" cool, but we have less to see, when it comes to Nature we share most of the things that people like about here anyway, the Rockies are shares, the Appalachians are shared, the Great Lakes are shared, the border is straight on Niagara Falls. Might as well go to the country that has more cities and probably cheaper flights towards.
but in my opinion, the less visited and more obscure areas are often the best. Northern parks, hidden beaches, mountain roads, local roads away from tourist areas in big cities and really most places off the beaten path.
Places like Switzerland, Finland, Nova Scotia, Victoria, the Appalachians, Budapest, The Carpathians, the Cyclades outside of Naxos, Peru and New Zealand are all beautiful and worth seeing despite rivals often seeing many more visitors, since normalfags who travel usually want a guided or resort experience that really doesn't show the true flavor of a country.
You think "coolness" is a better measure of how good a country is than standard of living? I should be surprised but considering your flag I'm not sadly.
Lucky for you Reuters did a coolness poll in 2011, here are the best countries in the world according to you:
>USA
>Brazil
>Spain
>Italy
>France
I don’t think it’s a better measure. I just don’t think standard of living is the only valid measure.
That's because you're an idiot. I can not imagine a mentally sound adult thinking that tourism has anything to do with the overall quality of a country. Brothels are fun and get a lot of excited visitors but I wouldn't want to live in one or consider it one of the best places to be.
People like brothels, nobody wants to live in one.
You seem to be unable to accept that a a place being comfortable to live in isn’t the sole deciding factor about how much quality or value that place has.
Tourism numbers are an international consensus.
They aren't forming a consensus on which countries are the best, just the ones that cater to tourism or have popular destinations. Disneyland isn't better than the Smithsonian Institute or Yellowstone just because more people go there every year.
I honestly h*te canada
>anglos
>civilized
pick one and only one
People wanting to come to your country should be a factor in deciding which country is best.
If you’re going to call Canada the best nation on the planet, you have to address why so few people want to visit there. Nobody is saying that Mexico is better because more people go there, simply that tourism IS a factor to consider.
>People wanting to come to your country should be a factor in deciding which country is best
coming to visit for a short period of time isnt a particularly large factor
people enjoy visiting puerto rico, costa rica, DR, brazil, missions to africa, SEAsia, etc etc
someone wanting to see your country for a week and then come back every five years isnt a very large factor at all, idk why you fixated on this
Why?
Probably was refused a pouding by a cute Canadian boi
yes, i need a canadian cuteboy to marry me so i can escape this shithole
based
>All of Canada is Toronto or Qu*b*c
lol
