I know exactly one vietnamese girl and her last name is Cao

why even use latin if the pronunciations are so fucked up

I know some Nguyen and Tran

She's most likely Hoa (ethnic Chinese).

Chinese had no phonetics, so it's either nothing or "fucked up"

Nwin

that southern pronunciation.
southern vietnamese sounds disgusting and annoying, like taking the worsts of chinese and thai put together

>bang together a couple pots and pans
>make surnames from the sounds

Nguyên isn't that different between accents
t.North accent grow up with Quảng (Central) accent

southerners make it sounds like ngủyng

Those are surnames?

I had couble of vietnamese classmates whose first names were Le and Hoang

Hoàng could be both. Lệ is a first name, Lê is a surname
