woke up for grade 7 (12 y/o). turned on tv at 6:55ish to watch Arthur which came on from7-7:30 PST (eastern-3hrs). It was about 10 am in NY so the buildings were on fire but hadnt collapsed. Had no idea what the big hulabaloo was. It was on every channel though (this was back when cable was 20-30 channels), we're talking nickelodeon and treehouse were covering it. Basically just the talking heads rambling endlessly. Afterwards I remember for the next several months no one would shut up about 'bush' 'terrorism' or '9/11'.. like I mean the word terrorism wasnt even in most peoples vocabulary pre 9/11. It became the most trite buzzword Ive ever heard. Later bush kept rambling and something about the Middle east developed and I tuned out because it was boring.
