Inferiority complex, ignorance regarding how equalisation payments work, ignorance regarding French history, old animosity between French/Anglo & Catholic/Protestant, cultural differences. Personally I think any Canadian who doesn't make an effort to at least try and learn both French and English, is a shitty excuse for a leaf. We have shared the land for over 400 years. That's plenty of time to learn.

Asians tend to have money, they are beneficial economic immigrants. Western Canadians (highly Americanised) get confused about equalisation payments and consider Québécois a financial drain whereas Asians are often seen as a financial gain.

Depends on where you're from. French started settlements in 1608 and Britain in 1610. You will notice that you almost never ever see Maritimers/Newfies and Québécois bullying one another. They have both been here a long time and both consider themselves Canadian before anything else (see map) whereas out west they tend to larp as Euros while being the most Americanised.
