I wonder why this happens to Argentina every 10 years or so.

Isn't South Africa going through the same path as Turkey and Argentina?

This is on course for Argentina. I don’t know why, but their economists are the worst in the fucking world. They default on their debts every ten years and their currency is so fucking unstable that it’s embarrassing. I don’t know why anyone would invest in Argentina when Brazil and Chile are right next door. Brazil isn’t exactly stable either, but it’s a lot better than Argentina.

Not this badly. Our economy is taking bit of beating but I think we will survive for a few more years before we get fubar.

The funniest thing is that they still keep investing there and Argentina had, has and always will have the highest living standards in the continent.

Most of investors think in short term, if Argentinian banks offer 20-30% interest rates on deposits, people put their money there even if the currency is unstable and in long term they will lose.

White professionals in SA get paid in USD anyway and big farmers exporting food use dollars as well while black maids or farm workers get paid in ZAR so actually decreasing value of the rand is good for whiteys and hits mostly poor blacks.

>that feel when Poland will be next so you have already converted all your zlotys into safer currencies

What makes you say that?

I-is the corruption gone at least g-guys?

1. Populist-nationalist government that has issues with democracy just like in Turkey, Russia, Argentina, South Africa,

2.so called "emerging market" country and our currency is in the same basket with Turkish lira or Argentinian peso

3. High debt and budget deficit while a lot of social spendings

4. Decreasing amount of EU funds.

5. Socialist and protectionist policies of our government

Sadly, no.

>shit hit so hard that even affected here

That's new, usually is the other way around.

The last Argentinian economic crises was almost 17 years ago. They lasted pretty long for a south american country.

>Dollar price spikes in Chile because of this
>All Videogames will be more expensive this Christmas
Thanks Argentina.

bitcoin has dropped much worse than by two

Economics noob here. Why is it crashing so hard?
Does this have anything to do with Turkish Lira or Trump's trade war?

Did Shitalian immigrants do this to Argentina?

Only Chinks bought in at 20k

chile has a higher living standard than argentina

basically the same reason as the other 20 economic crises. Argentina doesn't have enough going on economically to resist hyperinflation

partially. there are some rumours that burgers will increase their federal funds rate so some investors move monies back home from the emerging markets, it's not the main reason tho

President = Macri
Vice president = Michetti

Id say yes

And our dollar is going up because of this
Thanks Argentina
