Aight here's the rundown. Not larping, 100% fact. I'm an INTP socially-retarded shut-in with no physique whatsoever. College dropout my first semester because I think degrees are retarded. I have almost no skills, barring the fact that I have a God given talent at maths, numbers and programming. Basically self taught everything I do know about my talent, been doing it like that since I was little.
tl;dr I'm a fucking beta nerd.
I got a temp job in some laid back warehouse but I fucking vomited after lifting like 40 crates. Tried to play it off cool but the manager was concerned about me and sent me home. Fucking embarrassing. There's literally no other opportunities where I'm at (USA, but middle of nowheresville) and all the fields I'm interested in require +5 years experience and a 4 year degree for an 'Entry Level' position. On top of that, no boomer in HR wants to hire a self-taught anything because 'muh education.' I've seen CS graduates who still don't fucking know how to program their way out of a paper bag but fuck me they're more qualified I guess.
I've literally had to resort to day/swing trading to survive, been doing it the past 6 months (fuck January btw). It's fucking hell and I need something more stable. What company would hire someone like me? How the fuck can I get a semi-decent wagecuck job in an office at minimum? Am I unironically and unambiguously fucked?
>all the fields I'm interested in require +5 years experience and a 4 year degree for an 'Entry Level' position. On top of that, no boomer in HR wants to hire a self-taught anything because 'muh education.'
Lie
just pretend you graduated and have a couple years experience at a small company. If they find out you are a liar you only lose the job you wouldn't have got if you told the truth.
Elijah Moore
build a respectable GitHub and use it to apply to companies without Boomer HR retards that care about muh bachelor degree
You need to prove you can do something, for the employer that's what the college degree stands for. You don't necessarily need a college degree, you need to show a potential employer you're capable of providing value to someone in some way that relates to the job you're applying for.
Asher Torres
If you're a true genius with talent, you should have no problems finding a job.
Ryder Peterson
I've got a proof-of-concept derivatives exchange and a genetic algorithm package that gets slightly over 110 downloads weekly on NPM, and a bunch of other random shit. Building a personal website to (hopefully) stand out with a bit of a front. What more do I need?
This 100% You need to lie. There are so many ways to do this its insane, just try and be moderately creative. -Self employed -Own business -Worked for obscure small company -Make a wordpress website of said company and get a friend to pretend to be the owner etc etc
Jacob Gomez
Well yea obviously I have that. I try to make it as kick-ass as possible too without lying or stretching the truth. I'd rather not be dishonest but at this point fuck my pride I'll say I graduated from fucking MIT
Anthony Hill
It's honestly going to get to the point where it would be less expensive for me to spend the night in a jail cell. I've contemplated committing non-violent fraud but I don't think I could do that to another person lmao. Shit's just too cold.
Ayden Clark
Honestly what're the chances I do get caught? Job doesn't necessarily have to be programming related, finance is ok too.
Jordan Phillips
Another victim of the “normies do college so college must always be a waste” meme. If you play your cards right a degree in a useful field will get your foot in the door for a comfy upper-middle class career, then you can use your extra money to become upper class by buying shitcoins and hoping they moon
Ayden Campbell
I won't lie I've always preferred getting featured on shitmex Rekt than going into the shitcoin game. One and the same if you ask me.
Isaiah Cruz
fuck off, you just want to be pitied I am an IT recruiter and have placed guys with no degree, little professional experience and talent. Just don't apply to HR, apply to project managers and tech leads with a good portfolio showcasing your skills. this user knows whats up
dropping out of college / uni is for smart people, I'm sorry user
Ian Morris
Finance sector will absolutely check your background and records.
Get some certifications, maybe look for helpdesk entry level instead of programming entry level? Net+, MSFT shit will get you in a lot of doors, especially with a staffing agency pimping you out. Once you're in, you can prove you know your shit to a boss who personally knows you and bypass the B.S. barrier.
>TLDR: get proof you know some shit, use staffing agencies
Blake Lee
nigga are you retarded? why are you lifting crates in a warehouse use your brain to make money you moran. you can code so get a remote job coding somewhere. put together a website/github or whatever you code monkeys do to make yourself look good. then stalk down decision makers at companies until theyh ire out. this is 2018 nigga you gotat work with your head and make those online monies >t. INTPfag working from home since 2012
Jason Perry
Yea I can't really argue against the btfo I'm fuckin' desperate. I'll see who I can find tho.
noted.
Leo Martin
I fell for that meme, but to be honest I dont know what id go to college for (ive already done a trade course in electrical), i feel if i was in college id be burning more money and time
Easton Smith
>I've literally had to resort to day/swing trading to survive, been doing it the past 6 months Sounds like something from a future billionaire's biography. How on earth did you survive on trading alone for half a year this young, and with no experience? If I were you I would look for jobs related to finance honestly, because most people just lose all their money if they try to do what you described, you might have some serious talent here. You mentioned mathematics, numbers and programming. Ask around in banks for example, and tell them all this that you said here. Also, if you are really that good in programming, you can also get a programming job at basically any large IT company, just keep applying. They don't give a shit about degrees, they'll care whether you are good or not. You are not fucked for life by the way.
Sebastian Ward
Let's say I lie about all of these things. Hypothetically, let's also say I haven't filed taxes in a few years because I work under the table or I am a semi-NEET or something else. Won't they do a background check and figure out that I'm lying?
Lucas Hall
>Also, if you are really that good in programming, you can also get a programming job at basically any large IT company, just keep applying. They don't give a shit about degrees, they'll care whether you are good or not. >You are not fucked for life by the way. Does this still work if I'm in my early 30's? I'm like OP but with no work history and no degree.
Nolan Long
I forgot to mention that I traded crypto but it was 100% luck. I just gambled and won.
Lucas Gonzalez
Nice
Cameron Johnson
This is enough on github to get you in to a fucking decent remote wage, where your autist tendencies won’t be a problem ;)
Screencap this, you’ve made it
Julian Martin
>>because I think degrees are retarded
So you don't want to work hard for a few years and get a degree and instead youre trying to find a shit hard job to do for the rest of your life. Retard Logic.
The reason why you are a beta lose is because you don't want to work hard. 3 years of hard work is better than a life time of sadness and self hate trying to make ends meet
Asher Long
Background checks usually just look at criminal records and credit reports—not normally a huge deal unless you’re looking for a high level position in govt. or banking. Unless you’re applying for a top secret clearance or a high ranking/high paying job, lying about work history isn’t even part of a background check. Just make sure you don’t lie about a reference or a license/certification, because they do check those.
Parker Foster
>I can do X job, but in order to do have an opportunity at X job I have to follow a mildly inconvenient protocol that I'm too lazy to do Suck it up buttercup, if you can't stand dealing with legacy tech you don't have a future in CS anyways
Brandon Rogers
How much do you make swing trading?
If you’re doing a few k per month why not just stick with it, wagecucking isn’t going to be easy
Why is working in McDonald’s more stable, as you won’t last there anyway
Alexander Carter
unironically say you worked in blockchain projects and even use some kind of buzz word normies know like ethereum. blockchain itself is enough.
Firstly, they wont have you coding any blockchains. secondly, they cannot question you on it because its too complicated for normies, and lastly, it seems impressive and cool to employers atm because its trending.
Brayden Foster
I know nothing about this topic and have a lot of anxiety when it comes to this kind of thing because I simply don't know what I can get away with and I feel as though a lot of people who basically aren't afraid to oversell themselves have a massive leg up on me as a result.
Levi Parker
>Background checks usually just look at criminal records and credit reports I should mention that I have good credit, I'm simply wondering if they can actually verify my tax returns (or lack of tax returns) and/or previous employment in some official capacity. I have no criminal record so that doesn't matter.
Nolan Torres
>unironically say you worked in blockchain projects and even use some kind of buzz word normies know like ethereum. blockchain itself is enough. > >Firstly, they wont have you coding any blockchains. secondly, they cannot question you on it because its too complicated for normies, and lastly, it seems impressive and cool to employers atm because its trending. Software developers can indeed question this, though
I stoped reading at >College dropout my first semester because I think degrees are retarded
You probably don't have enough discipline to accomplish anything in life. Kys. You are just torturing yourself, your life will literally amount to nothing.
Hudson Lopez
I'll hire you OP. You will need to move to Arizona.
Your move, motherfucker. This is a real job offer and no it's not some weird shit.
Henry Peterson
>Your move, motherfucker. This is a real job offer and no it's not some weird shit. ...to do what? I'd relocate.
Henry Reyes
>It's honestly going to get to the point where it would be less expensive for me to spend the night in a jail cell
