i mean ive seen plenty a career junky just jump on the hard drinking shit, but imo if you can keep it to some drinks and weed, thats not bad. i was never a fan of the just "jump the fuck out of everything at once" method. i kept drinking for a couple years after i stopped that shit, until one day i realized how much i fucking hate it.
booze just makes me feel angry and sick to my stomach (but then the only way i ever drank was on an empty stomach to catch a buzz). imo that was a walk in the park to lay off compared to dope/pills. but then, i used to do a lot of those, and was never the biggest drinker
