European apartments don't have fridges

>European apartments don't have fridges

I just talked to a visitor from Germany and he said that their homes are completely EMPTY. They have to pack their own fridges, dishwashers, and washing machines when they move. Is everywhere outside America really this third world?

Where do they store their shoes?

Do Americans really do this?

Here, places aren't generally furnished. You'd be lucky if the tight arse boomer landlord has a functioning (not activated) land line.

Seconding these. What the fuck?

I don’t think landlords are obligated to provide any of these though they gladly do as this means more rent

>though they gladly do as this means more rent
Kek, landlords here instead take things away and increase the rent.

Same shit over here, though a new tactic they employ is forcing you to rent a pre furnished apartment full of garbage which costs you €100 for a bed, a chair and a table for example which you are not allowed to remove.

Boomers truly know how to game the system. Their level of sociopathy is almost respectable in its shrewdness.

Yup their ingenuity when it comes to extorting millenials is really something. We even have MP’s who have been caught breaking all sorts of rent laws yet the government promises they are with the tenants.

More like why don't you?

wait are amerisharts really this limited in their options by being unable to buy their own appliances and be instead subjected to use whatever shitty washing machine, fridge and dryer the house they move into comes with?

>actually complaining about landlord offering utilities
please stay in your third world country.

They do, I have some friends who moved to the US and they told me that when they rented their own place it always already came with a stove, air conditioner, microwave, refrigerator, lightbulbs and sometimes washing and drying machines

No wonder they move out so early. Over here you have to buy all of that yourself.

holy shit really? that's fucked

it makes more sense to keep it all in the unit so that people aren't tearing up walls trying to move appliances in and out every year

(((landlords))) here also raise the rent by about 5-10% each year so you have to move sometimes, it's not worth it

That is more a russian thing.

>americans are happy that they don't own their friges, washing machines and stoves

Not him, but here you can't go tearing shit down in a rented house. You're obligated to leave the house in the exact same conditions you found it when you leave.

Also there's an index that regulates the rent. But landlords are really flexible about it, some don't raise it if you're a good payer.

I just moved and my place came with a fridge, stove, one huge AC in the living room, one small AC in each of the two bedrooms, and the most obnoxiously bright LED lightbulbs ever in the light fixtures.

I agree your system makes more sense but over here every appliance they put in their rental apartment means they get to charge more money for said place so people rather buy their own washing machine than pay for a new one every 2 years.

My building has a lot of utilities but combined they cost me €50 per month.

Oh, and a laundromat facility just for the residents.

They charge 1.50 per load, the fucking jews

Pretty fucking good.
I just moved too and all I’ve got is a stove and small fridge. However there is a shared laundromat and parking garage (in the centre of a city) which for me made it worth it
>2 bedrooms
How much do you pay? That is a lot.

They most certainly charge for it here as well, it's just not explicitly stated what the exact number is. I like it because it's convenient. Most people renting apartments are poorfucks anyways, doesn't really make sense to force them to try and cart big heavy appliances around - if they were in a position to do so, they would just buy a house.

Depends on the apartment. Some come furnished with a fridge, washing machine etc but those will cost extra

I only rent if it’s furnished and at least has a fridge, washing machine and a bed frame because I’m not retarded

830 dollars.

It's pretty good, like 70 bucks more than I was told to expect. But, it's 15 minutes walk away from my job which is just incredible imo.

I think everywhere in the UK comes with at least a cooker, but yeah, the rest of the furnishing is optional.

fridge and freezer is normal, dishwasher isn't always available. washing machines are communal.

No, unfurnished apartments exist. They just aren't as common because no one likes moving all their shit with them

My apartment came furnished but it's just out of convenience and me being a poor student. If I had money I would buy my own furniture, like wtf?

>and a bed frame because I’m not retarded
Why? A bed can be taken apart and set up in 1 hour and once taken apart is very easy to move. I’d rather have my landlord put a clauset in my room.
I see. Thing is over here because of a thousand and one laws regulating rent it is very important you know what your bare rent is, your energy and your service costs. It determines whether or not you apply for rent assist which is what a landlord wants since this way he can rent out 35m2 studio’s for €700 which is better than a 90m2 apartment for €1200
