Is the rock of historical significance?

This is the biggest rock in America.

Attached: images.jpg (201x251, 6K)

no, most people don't know it exists

My friend's mum

Have you ever urinated on the rock?

He's the biggest rock I know of

Attached: pierre menes.jpg (1024x788, 126K)

That's a nice boulder.

this rock

Attached: sculpture.jpg (745x419, 38K)

Well the bedrock is quite large

>t. Grugsen

Ice Age glaciers brought it.

Here is ours.

in the south there are rocks so big that are literally mountains

Ice age was some messed up shit. Just look at this rock, nobody knows where it originated, and it weighs around 500 tons. Imagine what strength a current had to have had to have moved the rock there from wherever.
>had to have had to have moved
Fucking English

This is the biggest rock (1 rock) in Japan.

Probably Australia has the biggest one of the world.

Attached: be7a9.jpg (860x550, 84K)

Is the biggest mountain in Denmark, too?

No, we have a hill that's slighly taller than that. Close though

I don't know, we have a lot of those glacier boulders. Here is one of the largest I think

Attached: balvan.jpg (900x600, 563K)

Pfft, now show them your mountains.

>innocent rocks
YEAH TIP EM

We have some really cool and big mountain faces, this one is over 1km high and 4km wide. Those are way better than some random rocks.

Does estonia have any big/famous stones?

Attached: 1508508769511.jpg (897x1200, 738K)

You're a bunch of rocklets

Attached: Sugarloaf.jpg (1700x1275, 508K)

Is this a single boulder?
Pic related is on Aegna island in Northern Estonia. We used to tie up witches that were left to die on the boulder. For some reason we have the biggest number and the largest travelling boulders in Europe.
It wasnt the current that moved the rocks but the expanding ice sheets

Attached: Pahkla suurkivi.jpg (800x600, 205K)

my penis haha

Only 10 minutes from where I live.
Botsmarks Flyttblock.

It weighs 25 000 tons and has been here since the ice age.

Attached: normal_P1200637.jpg (640x481, 146K)

Hey, that's not "Sugar Loaf". THIS is the real Sugar Loaf!

Attached: 1280px-Sugar_Loaf_Winona.jpg (1280x884, 473K)

idk if it's the biggest but it's the most famous in our area

There is a site in Missouri called Elephant Rocks. They're giant granite boulders. No idea if they're the biggest rocks in Missouri but they're neat.

Attached: 915.jpg (800x600, 111K)

How has no one posted Ayers rock/Uluru.

well glaciers technically flow really slowly but I am not sure you can talk about a current.

All these rocklets lol

I've been there twice. Cool place.

hey we got a big rock too

Attached: Bigrock.jpg (1024x683, 192K)

Huh, there's a Chimney Rock near me too

Iceland is one big rock

It might be El Capitan in Yosemite, which is a large granite formation. The lights are climbers, BTW, camping for the night while hanging from the cliff.

Attached: 800px-Elcapitanclimbers.jpg (800x1199, 196K)

Wish the natives permitted outsiders entry to the underground city. Would unironically go for a holiday there to explore it.

does it actually exist? theres 0 pictures of it anywhere online

Give it back. Glacier stole it.

>my cuntry bigger rock than yur

Flyttblock/jättekast are rocks thrown here by giants in Jättehem/Jotunheim. Giants don't like the sounds of church bells because it's painful for their ears. They get pissed off and hurl rocks at the churches but usually miss.

Attached: FlyttblockSurte.jpg (2048x1536, 707K)

Liar it's fucken big

He's mogging Canada.

The Sidobre area in the Tarn département, south-west, has many granit boulders in weird positions

Attached: Sidobre rocher.jpg (1600x1063, 661K)

Here's a few

What's up with that bird in the middle

Just learned that you guys have a another one of those big rocks

Attached: 280px-Aerial_Kata_Tjuta_olgas4799.jpg (280x181, 14K)

It's our national bird

Attached: 161227_SCI_Gray-Jay-Canada.jpg.CROP.promo-xlarge2.jpg (1180x842, 586K)

meant for

>being a larper

They are actually glacial erratics of basement rock ripped up by glacial abrasion as the ice sheets flowed south via 'plucking'. When the climate warmed and the glaciers retreated, the erratics were deposited on alien rock strata usually several hundred miles from where they originated

Pretty sure giants just hate bells and churches, you fucking idiot

Attached: 1532985462254.jpg (525x559, 24K)

This. Have you ever seen a rock move itself or a glacier retreat? No, of course not. But I've seen plenty of people throwing rocks and even thrown some rocks myself. Not that hard to believe that there's just some big guys out there throwing big rocks.

Thats dope, might visit if I can. Camping in that might be kool.

Attached: PROCOLOMBIA_70.jpg (710x330, 32K)

Nice pics man. Will have to go check them out when I'm able to travel to France. I'm just gonna try and find out where the biggest rocks in each country are. lol. Serious tho.

Looks dope. Would be cool to stand at the stop.

Other areas that might feature boulders are the Aubrac plateau and the limestone plateaux called the Causses
Also big fucking mountains south and east but let's just talk boulders and strange rocks

Attached: Causse Noir.jpg (2000x667, 470K)

Honorable mention to Brittany as well
After all it used to have towering mountains, they're just extremely eroded by now but the ground remains rocky

Attached: Bretagne chaos d'Huelgoat paysage (Finnistère).jpg (2000x667, 628K)

rocc

Attached: Devils Tower.jpg (1600x1200, 371K)

hey those are part of the ozark geology

god bless from arkansas

I'll also keep these places in mind. Would it be possible to visit all of these rocks and boulders in a day?

No idea but the mountains here have got pretty big rocks

Any notable ones? Also is it expensive to travel to Israel?

Well I mean technically you can drive through the country in a day so I guess so, but you'd need to really organize the trip and know in advance exactly where to go, in order to avoid losing time on pointless narrow roads that are abundant around these parts

If you forget Brittany they're actually all pretty close to each other, basically in the southern half of this mountain range, the Massif Central. Mostly in the Occitania region nowadays

Lozère, Aveyron and Tarn are the départements you want to aim for

Attached: Massif Central carte.jpg (1985x2805, 1.93M)

How shit how could I forget about those

Attached: Rochers Pénitents des Mées (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence).jpg (2000x667, 562K)

Nothing I know of.
It's more expensive than other countries because everything's expensive but if you don't mind living in a simple place and don't want an expensive hotel it won't be too expensive.. Taxis are expensive so it's better to rent your own car or use buses.

Sounds good. I'll save this info. Thnx man! Its appreciated. Btw are you a geologist or something. You seems to be pretty well informed about this stuff

please don't damage the rock by walking on it, you will hurt its feelings :(

Wow that looks nice.

I see. Ill look into it. Would like to go sight seeing and take pics. Have any recommendations? Like food places.

I'm no geologist but this area is probably my favorite of the country and I don't live too far
I know a lot about this country's landscapes in general though. There is more than meets the eye

Attached: Cirque de Mourèze 01.jpg (1195x800, 235K)

About sight seeing just go to the north or the desert the middle area of the country is just cities basically.. There are some mountains in the north worth going to and there's the crater in the south of the country which is fine but if it'll be raining you won't be able to go see it because there are floods during the rainy season and people just disappear.
Food places it depends on the city because there are only a few big food chains here : McDonald's, burgerking, giraffe (Asian food, noodles sushi soup w/e), zozobra(Asian food too) and dominoes... There are probably some other ones that are smaller but these are the ones that are basically almost everywhere... You should probably tell me where you intend to go/stay or look it up yourself.

cute bird
tfw no canuck bird
