German troops were stationed in Finland because we were co-belligerents against the Soviets
Once the war was lost the Finns made peace with the Soviets, and one of the requirements made by the Soviets was for all German troops to be out of Finland, so Finns attacked the Germans stationed there
The Lapland war are the fights during the German retreat from Finland
