yeah actually Solaris was Lithuanian or whatever, but the Office Romance is a legitimately Russian movie
Americans are pretty wrapped up in it, seems like. Here it's liked about as much as music or books. There it has this fixation that comes with being a major producer, I imagine.

I like movies I just don't know how people can stand to watch them all and happen to know about hundreds upon hundreds of movies. Like how does it start? Where do you acquire all this knowledge about movies?
Tarkovski was russian, Solaris was filmed in Russia, it's a russian movie
Well, just watch a few weekly, you easily get through them. Helps if you've got a friend who's really into films as well.
By watching movies I presume
Probably because that's what Australia is. Mad Max is great though.
I can think of a few that aren't.
>Red Dog
>The Castle
>The man who sued God
>Picnic at Hanging Rock
>Crocodile Dundee
>Kenny
>australian movie
>it's about really fucked up crimes
>"based on a true story"
I guess movies are pretty culturally significant here. It's probably our biggest cultural export. People are constantly referencing movies and TV shows even if we're not aware of it. Growing up Eastern European here, my family rarely watched movies so I guess I just wasn't exposed to it as much as everyone else.

The outback is your main cultural impression on the world. We have a steakhouse chain named after it even though the founder never even went there.
I was a little kid when the movie was out. Couldn't understand well this movie at that time. And then I watched it again after my army conscription. It hit me like a tsunami
Nobody care about the coastal cunts, drunk bogans fighting kangaroos is what I want to see
Probably one the first korean movies I saw, always hit me in the feels

>Three American students vacationing in Finland, cross the border into Russia for fun of it. When they are spotted by the Russian soldiers who are shooting to kill, it's not fun anymore. Captured and thrown in jail, they find it's not fun either. It's a nightmare.
Sound kino
>Solaris was Lithuanian

A Very Long Engagement was popular in Japan
Japanese were very pleased that A Very Long Engagement was very beautiful movie
(But a little cruel...)
I think that Audrey Tautou is a really good actress
She is always attractive in movies
She is popular among Japanese, especially Japanese women and girls who like France and French culture :3
