Do you live in a "free" country that may arrest and/or jail you for Holocaust denial?
Do you live in a "free" country that may arrest and/or jail you for Holocaust denial?
Yes goy
>Holocaust denial
what's the point tho? It's a real documented fact with people still alive nowadays who were actually there.
well I wouldn't send people to jail for saying the roman empire didn't exist
euros are the real jew slaves
Not banned here.
The idea is that Romans are not a people that can be discriminated against. The only reason one would deny the holocaust is not because the person in question is curious, but it's because they're looking for reasons to hate another people. It's like denying slavery in the New World, it's well documented but the only reason someone would deny it is because they hate black people.
it's mostly about whether or not someone can be held legally liable for questioning something
No.
Freedom of speech is essential and anyone that doesn't have it can never be truly free.
I used to be in favor of free speech but now I support hate crime laws just to spite Jow Forums edgelords
Don't Americans realize that these laws and the constitutional framework that allow them were drafted by them when they created the new German state and its political system? These threads are truly baffling in a way, when you see ignorant Americans, virtually historically illiterate, posting about issues in states that were their pwn doing. Like those threads about South America and Germany.
B&R
No one fucking cares you homo mutt
>that allow them were drafted by them when they created the new German state and its political system?
is this english
It's legal to deny the Holocaust here, but I wouldn't complain much if it was illegal. Fascism is a parasite to civilisation that needs to be kept dead and quiet, and we know that this bullshit topic isn't about muh freedoms.
>we know that this bullshit topic isn't about muh freedoms
it quite literally is
there is no doubt in my mind that the holocaust happened, but not allowing people to openly question something, even something as controversial as that, is a horrible precedent and a very slippery slope.
>muh slippery slope
Its been almost 30 years since that law was introduced here, so what have we slipped into since ?
How is it anyway shape or form related to holocaust denial laws ?
>slipped into a world cup-winning football team
oh no
Yes, it's documented all right. Different story whether it happened or not.
Try to contain your butthurt
>that's what you see
quintessentially canadian
>he doesn't know
No
Oh so just be honest and say you hate jews then instead of trying to make it a "muh free speech" shit.
Don't most of these laws also cover other genocides in general? Besides, as far as I know not that many people have been arrested for holocaust denial.
i literally said i believe the holocaust happened and i grew up with many jewish friends, fuck off with your baseless accusations frogman
We want the free speech to say we hate Jews. If you don't start getting kike-wise, then you'll end up with a country as negrified as the United States.
Depends, its really case per case depending on if your country recognises a genocide/massacre or not. I think we have the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide and Srebrenica IIRC and none other.
>oppose a belief
1st amendment protects that anyways user
So what were you implying in your previous post then ? And once again, how is it related to holocaust denial laws ?
High IQ individual right here
That's not a very good case you're making there. Also, speak for yourself.
>this thing definitely happened and if you say otherwise we'll lock you up >:(
Very convincing, ironically the only reason I would have for doubting the holocaust is that it's illegal to question it.
The freedom of expression makes you moronic. Your tv's do not even know how to place an European country on a map.
It's not too hard to understand why they banned denial of the holocaust. I've never met a holocaust denier that was "seeking the truth". There's always something a little extra they say too. Like how the Jews subvert nations, or that they're responsible this bad thing, and that bad thing. That you can't trust them, that the nazis weren't all that bad. Because it's pretty obvious that most if not, all holocaust deniers just use the truthseeker angle to push their horseshit ideologies onto other people. Not the best way of handling them though but you could have good classes in school that teach it well to students. But then again deniers will just bitch about that thinking there's some kinda agenda going on so you can never win with those people really.
>incredibly well documented fact that it happened
>we need go ban saying it didnt happen even though it clearly did
Yeah but ideally you'd just counter them with evidence like people do with truth seekers for pretty much every other issue.
If you shut them down with legal force (remember that all laws are enforced under threat of violence) it just makes it seem like you can't counter them with evidence and have something to hide.
Yes you can't win, you can either let them spreading their bullshit or try to silence them but then they can play the victim
>there is absolutely nothing I can do about these people in between the two extremes of ignoring them and putting them in prison
just lel
Discussing with nutjobs is useless
>canadians
>fr*nch
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
Lots of people tried doing that and I absolutely agree but holocaust denial is a lot more different to something like Flat Earth or Young Earth theory. Nobody actually gets hurt over Flat Earth or Young Earth bullshit. But I've never met a holocaust denier that doesn't immediately follow up claims of the holocaust not existing with threats of physically removing jews from their country or having serious implications behind it. It's kinda like Anti-vaxxers really where their bullshit can have pretty negative consequences if more people took them seriously.
But it's a tricky situation. Exposing their retarded ideas is always a good thing to do because you don't want them preying on stupid people out on the outer rims of society. But at the same time these people do genuinely hate the jews and I wouldn't put it above them to commit acts of violence against another ethnicity that they percieve to be genociding whites. It's just the nature of the rhetoric itself is violent. Kinda like how you get some crazy asshole on the street that shouts out to lynch all niggers. It's not free speech if you're making threats of violence.
>areola
zozzle
Why do you need to ban people from saying otherwise if it's real?
