I mean, sure, but can you honestly say your idolisation of the early 00's is based on anything other than petty nostalgia? What was objectively, provably better about the year 2008, than the year 2018, other than the fact that you were probably a kid with less responsibilities? Fundamentally, Western society is still pretty much the same as it was 10-15 years ago. Everything else is just the narcissism of small differences.
