Be American
I don't get it, why didn't he use his firearms to protect himself?
if he did it would be spun as that he was the aggressor, no one kills a cop, even in self-defence, and gets away with it
just another day in the land of the free! god i wish we didn't have such dangerous and oppressive gun laws here...
Gee, I sure wonder what skin color he was
>defending yourself against a cop
You can't do that here.
american cops have no bias! he could been any colo- oh
Every day I year for True® Freedom™ and Liberty©.
Why didn't she arrest the man instead?
are you telling me more guns couldn't fix this problem?
Dude was a fucking CPA from st. Lucile. Bitch was probably drunk and murdered him out of stupidity.
Apparently she's being charged with manslaughter instead of murder. She probably won't even be convicted.
FREEDOM TO GET SHOT
Of course not. Remember him? Also in Texas.
>she
kek
On what planet is that manslaughter? 'I didn't mean it because I'm unbelievably stupid' surely shouldn't be am excuse
It all makes sense. Are cops j-jealous of BLACK BVLLS?
>Young female cop
This is the problem with diversity hires
>this will be charged as manslaughter not murder
american justice
The police and the justice system are very chummy and judges don't like to put cops in prison. Besides that, any officer who could provide testimony won't say anything to imprison another if they value their career
She was involved in a shooting in 2017 as well
I can see it now.
>plea deal
>suspended sentence
>officer fired
>lawsuit settled with family of deceased
Then everyone forgets about it in a few months.
In the Netherlands you also have 'death by guilt', which is if someone is guilty of someone's death without intending his death. For example when you have been careless or reckless.
Manslaughter is if you intentionally (accept the risk) that you murder someone. For example when you kick someone to the head and then he dies.
Murder is if you planned the death (had a moment of at least a couple seconds to think about the act) and then proceeded to act upon it.
So here it would be manslaughter as well.
The left photo looks familiar, but can't remember this. Can you remind?
Well that seems like a sensible way to do it. Tbh we might have a similar thing here I'm not sure about the intricacies
That's sad, we have the same problem to an extent but people here really hate police that abuse their position, seems like police are a different cultural thing here
Also, if people are trained in the use of firearms, they are supposed to act more responsibly with them. So it would be held against them if they shot an innocent person.
The same goes if you know martial arts for example. Then you're supposed to be more restraint.
I've heard of people here being convicted of voluntary/involuntary manslaughter here. I don't really know what the difference is though.
Some case from almost 2 years ago. He got fired but all his charges were dropped.

>ywn be that much of an edgelord
May as well give up my future goth wizard plans.
still can't get over the personalised engraving on his rifle. What a fucking sociopath.
theres a 0.01 chance he could have ripped out of the handcuffs with his bare hands, sending shards into here disabling her long enough to punch her head off
it was safer to just shoot him(for the officer which is the only priority)
some day they'll shoot someone important enough to outrage the entire country. maybe then there will be some reform
Involuntary manslaughter is where you were doing the wrong thing and killed someone but there never was any intent to harm others. Drink driving would be involuntary manslaughter i imagine.
Voluntary manslaughter is when you kill someone but it was a spur of the moment sort of thing and not planned at all like getting into a fight and killing the guy.
>magdump someone
>unintentional
For example a president?
>With great power comes great responsibility
>lol whats that
>t. american police
lmao
Woops.
I get how someone could possibly enter the wrong apartment if the floor layout is identical and they were just having an off day and went to the apartment directly above or below there own.
What I don't understand is how you after entering you fail to turn on any lights and proceed to work your way all the way to the bedroom, which is never the first room in an apartment unless it's a one room job, and at no point do you stop, look around, and realize none of your fucking furniture or decorations are your own. There are a lot of things that make no sense here and I'm not buying this officer's story. At best it's negligent manslaughter.
The difference between murder and manslaughter here is mostly whether she planned her actions or not.
If you drive drunk here then that's already intentional. As you accept the risk that someone will get hit and die.
Why is this obsessed Australian spamming so many threads?
Time to change that bloody tampon, mate.
After the poor AMERICAN cop who protects YOUR LIVES gets home from their extra long shift, they're too TIRED to even recognise where they are. Think about how much these noble warriors give for you before condemning them for being in a situation you could never DREAM of being in. God bless
After having read the article the manslaughter-sentence is more justified, she thought it were her own apartment and probably got scared when what she must have deemed a big strong intruder just showed up in the darkness
I can see how you would just shoot by instinct especially if you've been trained as an american officer.
Completely reckless, stupid fucking dumbass that demonstrates the reason why lethal force shouldn't be your goto solution, she deserves to go to prison, but there was no actual intent to murder the guy present, hence manslaughter.
Cops aren't supposed to shoot every criminal they see though.
this is literally going to be the defense's argument. just wait and see
i refuse to believe
Not the ones good at crabwalking with arms twisted up behind their head while reciting the aplhabet backwards
But they certainly seem intent on gunning down mercilessly with torsoshots otherwise
She wasn't on duty though.
Believe it.
They should still conduct an investigation to see if she had any kind of contact with this guy and what the nature of the neighborly relationship was if there was one. I wouldn't be willing to rule out homicide charges until all signs point to this being a negligent accident.
What difference does that make?
>Sir! Freeze! Stay righ- oh wait I'm not on duty
*BLAM* *BLAM* *BLAM*
It should be treated the same as if any citizen did what she did.
She knew perfectly where she was. Reports tells about how she banged on doors and yelled police open doors reported by few civilians.
Based on how he was handsome, my guess is she just wanted more than cum and dump sex and came to collect the revenge.
Does anyone even get in trouble for manslaughter?
Pic related.
hahaha oh man imagine if any other person broke into their neighbours house and murdered them. Fuckin manslaughter. And you call yourselves a free country.
That's such a ridiculous argument. If anything I'd expect a cop to be more observant than the average person, even when tired or off duty. It's not like she shot the guy in kitchen or living area of the apartment which would likely be the first room and not given her enough time to ID her surroundings. No, she made her way all the way to the bedroom and at no point did she glance at her surroundings and maybe realize something was off. She never bothered to turn on any lights to enable her to better see and evaluate the situation? She made her way to the bedroom and shot a guy motionless in bed because she was too tired to think?
Nah, sorry. Not buying it. Hopefully the jury doesn't either.
>Hopefully the jury doesn't either
>having faith in the Texas jury when it comes down to a cop being on trial
>The difference between murder and manslaughter here is mostly whether she planned her actions or not.
That's the difference between murder and premeditated murder in most civilised countries.
>If you drive drunk here then that's already intentional. As you accept the risk that someone will get hit and die.
So magdumping someone would be considered manslaughter while driving drunk and killing someone is considered murder? How do you consider? Wouldn't carrying a firearm be considered as accepting the risk you may use it to kill someone? It's a fucking gun not pepper spray.
>because she was too tired to think?
She's american after all
Ideally I'd hope they'd consider the evidence critically and objectively but no, I don't have any expectations that that will seriously happen. There's a decent likelihood she is acquitted. I imagine that'll go over really well...
fucking hell lads im just getting tired of this amerishot meme being too real. can you fucks actually rest for a month?
Why didn't she notice the door number? It' not hard to miss.
>the police isn't murdering black people! blm are just a bunch of insane conspiracy theorists!
>So magdumping someone would be considered manslaughter while driving drunk and killing someone is considered murder
You could argue drunken driving is planned. It depends on the context I guess. Judges tend to pretend it's a spur of the moment thing, but there is no reason why it can't be murder.
>Wouldn't carrying a firearm be considered as accepting the risk you may use it to kill someone
That's how it works yeah. If you carry a firearm for the purpose of self-defense the judge will assume you intend to use it when a self-defense situation occurs. So if you then proceed to use it you can't say you didn't intend to use it. Because the intend is already proven.
You are allowed to defend yourself with a gun here if it's proportional, but you're just not supposed to carry one with you. And this is exactly why.
>That's the difference between murder and premeditated murder in most civilised countries.
Our country country can have different legal definitions for murder because it's left up to state legislation. For example in NSW "premeditated murder" is nothing but semantics because both it and "a reckless indifference to human life causing death" fall under murder.
>Judges tend to pretend it's a spur of the moment thing, but there is no reason why it can't be murder.
Fair enough, typical of civil law.
You're right, but our shitty system is only thanks to out of touch judges.
Police chief's son shoots random people
Police chief son avoids any jail or penalty
In America they look for the criminals motive to decide whether its murder. Here they decide its murder and then wonder about your motive.
in the case of NSW it has more to do with the autism of your Crimes Act
Now in Queensland *sips* murder means something
That's pretty much how the distinct charge of murder works throughout the anglo world
Effectively murder is homicide aggravated by a wilful intention to cause death
Here it goes as far as when you drive to someone in a car and then shoot the person, then you had time to think about your actions during the car drive. So its planned.
It makes executing justice a lot easier.
Her story: Door was unlocked and when she put her key in, it opened, apartment was all dark, when she saw the outline of a guy, he ignored her shouting and she shot at him.
Witnesses: Heard knocking, heard her say "Let me in, Let me in," not to mention the numbers are big and visible there.
oh no a cop shot a guy i guess guns aren't rad anymore
no, wait. i just checked and guns are indeed still rad. enjoy applying for a steak knife permit because your government would rather let you die defenseless and clean up the mess than deal with the political inconvenience of crying mothers on TV, you brainlet consumerist chattel
What does this have to do with guns? You cant shoot a cop in any circumstance.
Get a load of this retard
Why are female cops so angry?
>94782747
>implying you overweight bumpkins would be a match towards a trained outfit regardless if you have weapons or not
No, Cletus larping as some soldier does not make you a competent individual.
They have to prove to themselves that they are as good as men.
If he was black she'd be crucified.
Why does stuff like that only happen in America?
>trained
>went to the wrong apartment and fired blindly into a dark room
But if you broke into someone else's house and didn't have the cop-on to see if it was your house or ask them what they were doing, it's more than just being stupid or reckless.
I'll have you know she clearly saw his silhouette, which looked exactly like the shooting range targets.
SHE WAS SLEEPY AFTER A HARD DAY OF KEEPING YOU AND YOUR BELOVED ONES SAFE! SHE IS THE VICTIM HERE
>women
>seeing clearly
nice deescalation
>too sleepy to see you're in the wrong house
>but awake enough to blow the man away with the big iron on your hip
Makes sense.
oof
I remember this. One of the saddest videos I've ever seen. I don't understand how someone can shoot a crying man on his knees multiple times because he pulled his pants up. Anyone could tell that he was absolutely no threat.
It is in America. Have you ever been there, talked to the average american? You will have a huge boost in self confidence, they will mistaken you for a genius
Yeah it was disheartening to watch. Still kind of agitated that the cunt just got fired with all his charges dropped. Insane.
Just looked it up, I'm glad I live in Europe desu.
Cop just felt like murdering someone and knew he would get away with it it seems.
Maby if we go atleast one year without a mass shooting/retarded shooting.
>one year
Fucking hell take it in steps lad, let's start with a week.
