Are those the ideas spawned by one guy?
Even though my politilogy education is in progress, I see so many wrong things here.
>it was only a part of Ukraine because of authoritarian Communists
Exactly, Khrushev made Crimea a part of soviet Ukraine and it has nothing to do with the identity of locals.
>China is colonising Africa
Do people remember what colonialism is? Because it seems like they don't. China is gaining influence, but it's different kind of relations.
kek subhuman.
>>"Even if you destroy ISIS, it means nothing because another group like them will immediately pop up. ISIS is an idea, not an organization."
>>"ISIS will not be defeated before 2030."
He's right actually.
ISIS ceased to exist as a state, but as an organization it still remains (plus it has a lot of affiliate groups worldwide, from Nigeria to Eastern Asia). They just went undeground, the state in which they were before the Syrian/Iraq war.
The one about isis beeing an idea isnt that wrong
They are getting killed left and right and have nowhere to go, "affiliate organization" is nothing more than others trying to pander to their ego, they're independant from one another and the "affiliation" means shit.
kek
good summary of this retarded board
ISIS will get worse actually, the intervention by the western powers will make those radical groups even more bitter towards the west.
lel'd
But not everything is wrong
>"Israel? Don't look there!"
>Do people remember what colonialism is?
Get resources and sell your goods to power your industry. That's pretty much what China does.
>have nowhere to go
>They just went undeground
Despite the fact they have to territorial control in Iraq, they kill iraqi officials and soldiers on a weekly basis. The same situation goes in the other parts of the world where they active.
>affiliate organization" is nothing more than others trying to pander to their ego, they're independant from one another and the "affiliation" means shit
Sure, Sven. But the victories in Iraq/Syria during 2014/15 caused the rise of the populatiry of radical organizations in islamic countries which joined IS.
wew i always thought the JIDF was made up
In the 90s the people of crimea wanted a referendum about returning to russia.
Most of those things are reasonable opinions, and you're doing nothing to disprove them.
does Afghanistan even have oil? always thought it was for muh liberal world order and opium & heroine
EU won´t last 2 more decades if things keep on like this
>China will invade Taiwan and start WW3
Lmao the only "country" that would care would be taiwan.
>"It's all about the oil, dude. That's why we invaded Af-ganeestan. Everything is about the oil."
oil is only a raw material. the target is in most cases a higher public spending in military as it pushes the economy and capital profit of the rich.
>"All those civil wars are just extensions of ancient tribal rivalries. Sunni vs Shia."
no idea what "all" are but sunni vs shia is a very basic conflict in middle-east.
>"Russia's way more powerful than the US, they have more nukes. They're the leading superpower currently."
no. its not about nukes.
>"The Russian military could beat the US any day because Russian soldiers are epic, manly, and badass. Who cares about objective measures of military power?"
soldiers, tanks and shit are becoming more and more meaningless in times of drones and most important: war by (mis)information and financial power.
>"The Arabs were one people before they were divided by Sykes-Picot."
no idea about that and i could not be less interested.
>"Even if you destroy ISIS, it means nothing because another group like them will immediately pop up. ISIS is an idea, not an organization."
well, obviously its a very important organization because they acted very professional. but the problems are of course other ones.
>"China will invade Taiwan and start WW3."
dont see that at all.
>"Oh. you think the Syrian civil war is gonna end soon? Sweet, naive summer child. It's gonna last for at least a few more decades."
look at the oil-thing.
>"ISIS will not be defeated before 2030."
same.
> Crimea was always part of Russia, it was only a part of Ukraine because of authoritarian Communists
right.
> China is colonising Africa
right.
> China is going to attack Taiwan sooner or later
dont see that at all. china is ultra-pragmatic.
rate my opinions.
>radical organizations in islamic countries which joined IS
Islamists are fast to backstab each other. Daesh started as a faction of Al Qaeda and they were already hating each other from the start. Daesh, the Taliban, the Haqqani guys, LeT, LeJ and so on have been fighting each other more than the West.
Daesh dun goofed once they declared themselves a state with territory at war with the whole world. Guerrillas and terrorists should play smart and know that it is more important to secure the people's loyalty and function as a state within the state than fap to maps. Also Daesh is so weak compared to other revolutionaries (Robespierre's sans-culottes, Lenin's bolsheviks, Mao's army etc) that they couldn't even conquer ONE country. They occupied two big towns, Mosul and Raqqa, and were btfo both times. The end.
>Also Daesh is so weak compared to
You forget about a really huge difference in numbers and quality of their enemies. The IS was quite successful vs. iraqi and syrian army, but had no chances vs. the US and Russia.
>Islamists are fast to backstab each other
See no premises why affiliate groups should betray the IS.
this is the worst
the entire world has consistently become more balkanized in the last few centuries, but surely in thirty years there will only be ten〜fifteen mega states.
>>"Even if you destroy ISIS, it means nothing because another group like them will immediately pop up. ISIS is an idea, not an organization."
thats the only things thats true
drones are for destruction, you need an army to occupy a nation
drones and agents for taking out strategic people and places
shekel and propaganda for the people.
only cunt you would probably need a conventional army for is nk.
