Japan is suggesting whale hunt and whaling should be legalized.
International committee of nations protecting whales disagrees with Japan.
There was a meeting in Brazil where Japan opened the discussion that whaling should be legalized and whales should be commercially hunted for food and for other products whale hunts are enabling.
Brazil is openly against whaling and USA is backing up Brazil. USA says: the time is not right for whaling while Brazil expressed it as an evil act.
Whale meat is the traditional food for Japanese people.
As commercial whaling is illegal, Japan has continued to capture whales "for science" and mysteriously the whales were eaten after the research had been done.
We should just open fire the next time they hunt in our waters

Why does Jow Forums care about whales but not refugees?
Jonathan Moore
refugees try to cross the sea an stay mainly on land
whales never come to land
Levi Turner
But what actually whale do to the ecosystem? Nothing significant. >not even eating sharks >krills? More like there's other smaller creatures can eat them Just let people enjoy their food. I've tasted whale meat in japan last year and it was delightful.
our whale hunting is sustainable, you just kill everything you come across in the sea
John Watson
What do you do to whale meat? Smoke or the so whitey thingy "salt and pepper".
Sebastian Campbell
Whales live in the ocean and are just minding their own business.
Jeremiah Bell
I wish japs would eat refugees instead.
Hunter Nguyen
>the whales were eaten after the research had been done.
waste not want not.
on a serious level, what's the issue with hunting minke whales, that aren't endangered?
Matthew Anderson
Apart from when they travel through time, like in Star Trek IV
Joseph Howard
Pot calling kettle black
Jack Peterson
Why are Japs so autismic about whales anyway? They don't even taste that good
Carter Price
They like to larp as anime characters in taking down large beasts.
Chase Perry
how? gooks kill whales indiscriminately while we actually take measures to not cause our whale population to go extinct
Eli Thomas
>feeding farm birds is as bad as harpooning to death an endangered giant mammal

More importantly foie gras tastes way better than whalemeat

Whale meat is good. ginger and soy sauce. yum yum I decided to eat whale meat from Australia today!!! Thank you Australia to share us tasty whale meat!
Whaling is a good industry. Whale meat is tasty and blubber and whalebone have a variety of uses. As with all industries that make use of natural resources, the rate at which whales are taken needs to be carefully managed in order to maintain viable levels for future use. A blanket ban does not achieve this end.
The core issue is that Australian waters should be reserved for Australian whaling fleets. We should be whaling, and we should be determining the acceptable and sustainable rates for taking whales. If the Japanese want to whale here, then it must be up to us to determine whether or not they are permitted to do so.
Australian sovereignty has been stolen by illegitimate and corrupt international bodies that do not represent the proper interests of this country. It is Australia's sovereign right to determine, bilaterally, if, and on what terms, Japan should be permitted access to Australian marine resources; and it is Japan's sovereign right to engage in negotiations to this end.
The neoliberal internationalist obstruction of Australian and Japanese national sovereignty must be ended.

>Whale meat is the traditional food for Japanese people. Japanese babies and geisha's leg are traditional dishes in my culture. Please let me hunt them down to extinction.
I don't care if whaling is gonna be totally banned because most of us couldn't eat them anyway. The haul is too small for many people to eat. But you know Japan has a point. International Whaling Commission; IWC was originally founded for sustainable whaling and then its policy turned into anti-whaling. They don't give a fuck about “sustainable whaling” anymore because now the majority of members don't eat whales in the first place, and they support hysteric people thinking that eating whales is simply morally wrong. Although, the haul has decreased.
Dominic Anderson
>whales were eaten after the research had been done What are they supposed to do with the meat then?
Oliver Hernandez
japan has to say it's research as long as japan is a member of the IWC
Adam Moore
No average Japanese person eats whale meat that often, this is probably just the local ossans causing trouble again.
Carson Richardson
We prefer the term "carnists".
Andrew Flores
are you using them for food?
why the dolphins keep coming back every year for more?
Jace Hill
Whales are highly intelligent with complex social structure and behavior. Hunting them is like hunting nonhuman great apes and morally impermissible
Michael Adams
what does whale meat taste like?
Nathaniel Anderson
the issue is that morality is relative and the line between what is acceptable intelligence, social structure and behavior varies greatly between people. claiming moral right is a flawed argument.

There's nothing wrong with hunting apes.
John Anderson
Morality is not relative. Morality is absolute. His moral claim lacks foundation and is objectively false.
Lucas Moore
Killing people is traditional for my people too :)
Logan Rogers
We worship whales. If we can't hunt them "for science," we'll pretend that it's a religious activity.
Whales eat other fish, without whales those fish species will have explosive population growth which will let them destroy other species of plants or fish.
Alexander Lopez
so the solution is to fish more?
Camden Adams
For money.
Angel Diaz
you are jealous because your food is as boring as uk's
Whale meat tastes pretty good bros. As long as the whale you're hunting isn't going extinct, there's no problem. There are actual things in the world you can worry about instead of this.
Jackson Harris
Depends on the type of fish but we both know that fishers don't fish specific types of fish so the best way of handling this is by not killing whales till they are extinct.
Cooper Barnes
it's wrong and opposite.
Japan save whale hunt number unlike Norway.
But this world believe Japan is no.1 whale hunter.
for me, whale hunting tradition should be maintained not for the meat for the technology to capture a huge sea creature far from homeland and bring it back there.
Jack Watson
I, who eat both, am morally correct.
Jose Johnson
Please covertly interfere with our politics in order to bring back Tony Abbott.
Isaiah Russell
Why does whale hunting trigger so many people? It's our tradition, let us keep it. Unless you're a vegetarian you're being very hypocritical, pigs are intelligent animals too, I guess you've got no problems eating bacon?
John Collins
Like beef with a hint of omega-3 fatty acid.
Hudson Bell
Whaling was one of our traditions, too. We should restore it. Please teach us your methods.
is it not relative if say, a hindu or a muslim, claim you are morally reprehensible for consuming beef or pork? how is morality absolute if it varies from person to person?
Kayden Rivera
animals
Josiah Morales
There're accumulated know-hows for whale hunting they are gone if we stop hunting
Parker Mitchell
I see exaggerated news articles all the time with sensationalist titles to get people to click, a screenshot like this doesn't really effect my opinions on things. I'm sure it's not as bad as they'll have it to be, we have pretty strict laws when it comes to the treatment of animals.
Samuel Phillips
The capacity of specific moral agents to maintain, express and act upon misguided or mistaken moral beliefs is irrelevant to objective moral truth.
When you say that something is relative, you say that what is correct depends upon the judgement or interests of subjects or agents, rather than upon any sort of objective basis; you are making the claim that things can be true for some but not for others; that something can be "subjectively correct".
Would arithmetic be relative if, say, (given the usual assumptions and axioms) a Hindoo said 1+1=3 and a Mohammedan said 1+1=1? What about if the Hindoo says that the sky doesn't exist, and the Mohammedan says that the sky is every colour all at once? What about if the Hindoo says that Mohammedans are pigs, and the Mohammedan says that Hindoos are cows? It is obvious that "subjectively correct" is nothing more than a polite way of saying "objectively incorrect".
Views on the truth vary from person to person, but the truth itself is constant. Morality is not subjective or relative; moral beliefs are.
Cameron Nelson
>>Views on the truth vary from person to person, but the truth itself is constant. Morality is not subjective or relative; moral beliefs are.
then do tell me in arithmetic fashion, or objectively, what is the moral truth and how do we derive it if it is not relative to the belief of individuals or groups?
Andrew Watson
Two nukes wasn't enough.
Adam Bailey
Based Japan. The whale meat is delicious. Also the first hominids took enormous evolutionary steps when they began to eat meat and fish, it is demonstrated that animal flesh favors the intelligence.
