Will be moving to London for some barely above minimum wage work this winter. I'll likely be living there for at least two years. I heard brits sit in pubs all day, will I be welcome if I don't know anybody? I want to make some friends.
you'll probably be able to talk to other Poles there are enough of you
Nicholas Richardson

There are tons of Poles in London, even lots of specialty Polish stores that sell only Polish goods and other Eastern European goods.
Life is lonely for autists in all places though.

>Will be moving to London Why? There's only 200 days left until an almost guaranteed no-deal Brexit. NOBODY knows what'll happen to you then. Why not at least wait until there's some clarity about what happens to EU Citizens in post-Brexit UK? Otherwise you may find yourself being kicked back home before you even know what hit you.

Il be your friend Where about will you be?

my parents are kicking me out if I don't find a job and this is the only one I could find that that's not back-breaking. I'm still on the lookout for better ones, haven't signed anything yet, but chances are I'll take this job. Not sure, the company said they'll provide housing, I'll know the adress in like 2 months if I decide to take this job. d-do I have to stick to my own kind? Can't I have british or other dispora friends?
Dylan Allen
if you are in the area of zone 2-1 northlondon make a thread and il give you my contact
Christopher Garcia
Let me give the two of you a little tip to not doxx yourselves: 1. Make throw-away accounts on whatever messaging platform you prefer 2. Through private messages, exchange your real contact information 3. ???? 4. F R I E N D S H I P
Don't doxx yourselves, my dudes. It could ruin everything.
Daniel Ward
>d-do I have to stick to my own kind? Can't I have british or other dispora friends? You can if you want, but Poles don't really mingle much with anyone else, they just kinda do their own thing
Henry Roberts
Barely above minimum wage in London sound hellish. If you go to the same pub everyday you'll become a regular and you can make friends with the old alcoholics, maybe with some of the bar staff as well. Women don't go to pubs on their own
Adam Young
if you're going there through an agency it's 99% a scam dude they will take your passport and enslave you
Jayden Peterson
>sound hellish. beats being homeless >Women don't go to pubs on their own where do I meet women? redpill me on agencies please.
Jacob Price
If you're on minimum wage, why the fuck would you move to London? Find a cheaper part of the country, else your two choices will be saving nothing, or staying in a room with 10 other eastern euros to avoid paying legit rent.
Some Brits stay in pubs all day, others have real hobbies. Do what you like. You'll be welcomed in the community (not London, because there's no such thing as community there) if you make an effort to speak English, be friendly to people, etc. Or you could do what some other Poles do, and only hang around with other Poles. Might get some small racism because people are pissed off at how many Poles come here and drive down wages for low-skilled workers, but it won't be anything serious.

okay, will try to listen to your advice. thanks

Landon Campbell
>will I be welcome if I don't know anybody?
It’s london so generally people keep to themselves but you’ll be fine. You can of course sit in a pub alone
David Lewis
>get really cheap, bottom of the barrel housing >work 12 hours a day for a few years >minimise spending >save a lot of money >go home >live like a king belgians have it too good to understand
