before the Arab conquests the area that is now Pakistan,Afghanistan and Tajikistan followed mostly Greeco-Buddhism,Hinduism,Zoroastrianism and some who followed classical Hellenistic religions pic related statue of Buddha found in Afghanistan Greeco-Buddhism was a product of the Hellenization of the area that is now Pakistan and Afghanistan due to Alexanders conquest being isolated from the Greek homeland and mixing in with rising popular religion (pic related)statue of Buddah made in Hellenistic style found in Modern Afghanistan
there was nothing like this in the world and then the Arabs and destroyed all the Temples they could find, killed all the Monks and forced us to be Muslims
the people would be saying Mathura instead of Mashallah without islamization XD

whats funny to me is that the Greek-Indian Kingdoms are the reasons Buddhism even reached East Asia they were located western South Asia and lower Central Asia they eventually spread further to Central Asia eventually reaching East Asia (China, Korea, Japan, Siberia, and Vietnam. ) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greco-Buddhism

as I explained here Buddhism originated in Nepal but still was kinda like an underground religion Ashoka an Indian Emperor converted to Buddhism and tried to spread the religion by building temples, monuments and such eventually this this spread to the Indo-Greek Kingdoms who adopted Buddhism as their main religion and thus spreading to central Asia and eventuality East Asia
