It's safe to drink tap water here in my city. But I use a filter for better cleanliness.

I'm not saying it's necessarily bad for your health, but when I drink water, I don't want a chlorine drink. Sucks for cooking too.

Norway and Switz have better water anyway, without the need to put chlorine in.

I live in Florida and our water just has a really weird taste sometimes, it's fine just some extra iron or other minerals in it

There's definitely more places that are red in america besides Florida, especially in appalachia where coal mining run-off goes into the water. I live in northern Kentucky and still don't trust the tap water, it tastes gross.

The US, Shitaly, France, Spain and all the other swarthy ones most certainly do not have safe water. Parts of Mexico such as Cancún have near fennoscandia-tier water. They recently got new water treatment plants. Nothing in the US can compare to it.

filtering and boiling tap water finishes the water purification job quite well, though

so I wouldn't advise drinking US tap water if you can easily avoid it, and almost everyone here can, whether they know to avoid it or not is a different matter

Depends on where you're at in New York. Generally, all of the water is drinkable, but I've found incredibly noticeable differences between the tap water in the luxury appartments in upper Manhattan, and the tap water of south-eastern parts of Brooklyn.
