If you're from some big high-flying yank university in an urban area it's going to be a step down. Same can be said about most Irish universities in general. Not really serious places.

It's a fine university, don't listen to Trinnersfags. Galway is very much a student city so you'll have no difficulty in finding places to drink.

It's still not that bad of an episode though. For me the biggest and most noticeable drop in quality occurred between season 13 and 14. Season 13 is a decent season, quite similar to 11 and 12 in terms of quality. But season 14 is just a car crash that the Simpsons never recovers from.
