It's only been out for about a year and a half, and I've only seen weebs talk about it a few times here. If you haven't tried it already, HelloTalk has been the shit so far for me:
> 23, burger, 7-7.5/10 and fairly anti-social, never had much luck with tinder and all that bullshit > get HelloTalk and post a simple profile with meh cover pic > put that I'm learning Arabic > it's been two days, and five Arab girls and three dudes are reached out to me (one was married and wants to convert me to islam, but oh well shes nice) > It's amazing how many girls are on this fucking app, and many of them aren't attention whoring (on the outside anyway) > bros respond too, they're not just out for pussy > You can record voices, make calls, correct language mistakes, etc. > I'm having legitimate and productive conversations in my language too, no one's using me without giving back > if you're learning multiple languages and don't want to pay, just rack up more pals in one, change your main language after two days, rinse and repeat, the free version is pretty awesome
idk how much longer it may be like this, but it seems like a gold rush compared to interpals, especially for those who legit want to learn languages. Get the fuck in here Jow Forums, and claim your waifus before it all goes to shit!
I'm not sure, honestly. From the Arabic side, there's a lot of girls on there, and a lot of thirsty looking guys, but it seems that if you are reserved and don't sperg out, girls will contact you. One of the arab girls i saw is learning chinese too, that's definitely becoming a thing as saudi arabia sides more with china.

By the way, if you like latin chicks, I bet you money there's plenty on there that would love to speak, I personally know a Mexican chick that became a complete weeb.
The app allows you to record voice clips and send back and forth, like this person responding to me:
I mean it hue bro, try it. If you are looking to speak with grills, believe me, they're on there and many more talk back than the ones on interpals.
If you are serious in improving your language you want to improve, it's fucking great. You can record audio, have calls, text chat, offer corrections to what people write with notes, and it's all on a pretty good interface. Idk how it got so many people, but it sue is growing. I'm amazed Jow Forums isnt talking about this more

I unironically met my fiance from this app, it’s based. As long as you’re not a creepy pajeet you should be able to strike up conversations with some cool people

I'm just so worried that it will go the way of tinder and omegle and become a spot for attention whores...
It's too based to stay this way :( it's been so long since something cool has come up with the internet, I'm spending a lot of free time now talking with people, i'm not used to it lol

There are a few attention whores (my most memorable was this russian girl who was pretty and had a good job but literally everything about her was “look at me”) Basically they are the minority and the serious language learners on there keep that in check. The only attention they will get is from literal pajeets. It is a great platform for learning though, I met a really good friend through it (he wants to immigrate to the us) and my fiancé. This app has been around for years man, the fact that I’ve only now seen it mentioned on 4chinz of all places shows how much life it still has.

No doubt, and I don't doubt that many girls have a circle of beta orbiters ready to teach them at any time (it seems many on the app are teaching english or going to english class and they use this as a supplement). The guy who's teaching me is Kurdish and was even telling me about how the UN is offering jobs there, I may look into it. I can't wait to see who else I can meet, I'm just amazed this is not a general the same way culturepals is now...
