More like failed democracy a la Iran
I think it is
>outdated government
>illiterate population
>horrible culture
Why do we still have this shitty constitution that led us into the civil war?
America is a Republic so yeah, I’d imagine we’re doing pretty bad as a Democracy.
America is a Failed democracy a la America.
Ironically, the democracy is what's making this nation fail. We need fascism ASAP if we want a shot at a bright future
It's a good idea gone horribly wrong. If you want to see what it could have been then look at Canada.
I mean it produces idiots like this for heaven's sake.
Canada is better? In what way?
>idiots like this
Kys commie kike
Republicans would certainly love that.
Also our presidential elections aren't democratic.
Its system of governance, culture, safety and healthcare.
Shame about the french bit though.
Look at this idiot who doesn't know what "republic" means.
America is a failed democracy because of Russia.
I'd say serves them right for all the shit they've done except they'll drag each and every one of us down with them.
>because of Russia
Stop with this Shillery meme.
A democracy is direct, republics are representative. What a retard.
It saddens me every time I think about their political system. Just imagine what they could do to their people if they actually could cast a vote that mattered in a less corrupted system.
Prettymuch.
You're not supposed to post on Jow Forums until you've finished highschool.
Ooh gottem
Jesus Christ it’s entry level American History, our government has democratic influences but is not a full on Demoracy. The founding fathers despised Democracy, and that hatred was so pervasive in American society that the Democratic-Republican party was called as it was instead of simply the Democratic Party based purely in that fact.
You don't know what republic means.
>à la
Get this French shit outta here! It's like!
There’s a difference between Republics and Democracy’s, that’s why no one called the Roman Republic a “Democracy” they are similar, but also clear differences in functionality. res publica literally means “partial democracy” in Latin.

Might wanna stop posting any time and just look up the word.
Also I'd suggest learning how to write a sentence in English before you start (incorrectly) quoting Latin
Where the fuck did you even get this shit
>res publica literally means “partial democracy” in Latin.
wtf, it means "public affair", it means that the state is seen as public property, not as the property of some monarch.
Democracy: A form of government where citizens directly play an active role in the state
Republic: A form of government where citizens elect representative officials to do the role for them.
As I said, Republics have democratic influences but are not a pure Democracy.

Worse they are a failed people.
it's failed but not like russia
Those links don't support the strong distinction. A republic is a form of democracy. Democracy unqualified doesn't necessarily mean direct democracy. In New Zealand we debate whether to remain a monarchy or to become a republic but it's understood that no matter what we'll be a representative democracy.
that's a yikes from me cletus
>that Jow Forumstarded american who doesn't even know what republic means
It means you don't have a monarch, dumbass
It's the elegant and stylish way of saying this in your language, deal with it.
>res publica literally means “partial democracy” in Latin.
where the hell have you heard of this crap?
Russia is not a democracy at all, not even a failed one
what is it?
