Based.
It is picking up here, but evangelicals dislike it.
what exactly are we celebrating?
we have soul cakes day instead
But you guys always try to be America lmao stop kidding yourselves and start importing more fast food restaurants
Most kids do and some adults too. It's pretty popular
I keep my lights off so they think I'm not home when they come ask for candy
This. Australians are fatter Americans with less self-control, power, and joy
Same here
t. Bajio region
Kids do these days. It makes no real fucking sense though
>hitting mid to high 20Cs even 30Cs in some places
>stays light to 8-9pm
>Flowers blooming
>Birds singing
>baby animals running around.
Halloween as a festival is way too tied to Autumn. I would have no problem doing it if in Australia it was celebrated in May.
Halloween is Irish
Kids do it here, and people who want to get drunk.
I'm hading out fruit tomorrow, never actually gave the kids anything but might as well cheer them up a bit
you do hot christmas don't you?
Christmas is a religious holiday first and foremost, Halloween is a seasonal holiday. Christmas makes more sense to keep on the 25th, than Halloween, which is a pure "hallmark" holiday these days and is tied to Autumn.

You aussies don’t really strike me as the religious type
>fruit
why do you want to ruin their night?
We do
We have Sint Maarten instead.
is that when dutch people put on blackface and make fun of blacks?
>The day is celebrated on the evening of the 11th of November (the day Saint Martin died), where he is known as Sint-Maarten. As soon it gets dark, children up to the age of 11 or 12 (primary school age) go door to door with hand-crafted lanterns made of hollowed-out sugar beet or, more recently, paper, singing songs such as "Sinte Sinte Maarten," hoping to receive candy in return, similar to Halloween.

god I fucking hate Australia
blasphemous mutt
No, that's Sinterklaas on 5 december. Which is the original Santa Claus celeberation where the American Santa Claus is based on.
>Sinterklaas is the primary source of the popular Christmas icon of Santa Claus

This. I'm literally turning off all my lights in my house, double latching the doors and gonna watch Netflix in bed while browsing Jow Forums and not answering the door for the little shits for nothing.
Just another Irish tradition to celebrate getting free shit for nothing. Figures.
Lel they really do
we dont, it sucks
originally it comes from the Celts, from Europe
so why you celebrete it?
some normies have halloween parties and dress up
which is just normal drinking but with costumes
never seen any kids do trick or treating, but some do dress up and i guess have kids parties
Japanese style Halloween.
because its an american holiday
idiot
why dont you celebrate sinterklaas?
But that's wrong you foolish yankee, who do you think invented it?
>some adults too
Cringe
halloween is as irish as the modern irish-american
Halloween is just a paganized version of all saints day...
All saints day is just a Christianized version of Oíche Shamhna
Some people do that here.
The americanization of the world will do nothing but harm to other countries
