The country is having an existential crisis about what it means to be Canadian (unwarranted) which is exacerbated by whiny progressives who hate how similar they are to the US and so identify with brown people to seem interesting. Forgetting that Canada is a Conservative, dull but functional, Midwestern, Anglo country overall.
Hopefully a new generation will reclaim their pride, they deserve it.
