How much ETH should I send to my solo mining address? Is the amount of tokens received dependant on how much ETH I have there?

You only need Eth for gas when mining. Mining itself is done with GPUs.

i beleive that is right. it would just error i think and not process. when you think of gas, think of it as what is getting paid to people and to pay others it has to leave from you. so yeah i dont think the block would create.
