Yes PPP is cost of living adjusted. The only place I think that the higher PPP doesn't reflect reality is in Geneva. Where a hovel costs like 4k/mo. But your average middile class job there is going to be paying upwards of 10k/mo. So imo it even outs even though living in Geneva is still insanity

Food in Switzerland isn't that expensive. Housing outside of Geneva/Zurich central zones isn't that bad. My apartment in Lausanne, (100m^2, central area) is only 2k/mo. Which is less than 20% of my salary and my job isn't that impressive. If you live a bit outside of the big cities you're looking at a single-person rate of 600-700/mo and a family rate of 1.5k-2k/mo. Which isn't that bad at all. You're delusional or just coping if you think living in Switzerland isn't a dream compared to Germany, sorry.

I think it's more that we don't do drinking games, we just drink. Americans like to say how social they are but don't seem to have the ability to just have a drink while talking. It needs to be something competitive instead, which actually ends up slowing down your drinking.
