Your Perception of USA as a child

What was your perception of USA during your childhood?

I remember seeing rap videos, basketball players, movies made in 90's and thinking most of Americans were black. I still remember how shocked I was after realizing they make only %12 of the population. I thought all Americans play basketball, carry radios on their shoulders meanwhile some people gathering around would turn on their heads and dance to the tune. People would make strange hand gestures and shake hands to greet each other, while whistling to the tunes of hiphop music coming from the radio. Not seeing a black person until I was 15, I thought they are all fun people playing basketball and ruling America. All my friends would refer Black people as Americans, and global corporations would use Black People in their advertisements as it would mean they are big, global and of course American.

I also was disappointed about US after realizing the blond white girls are less than the hispanics and blacks there.

I fucking hate niggers and how extra-proportionate they are in our media and how entitled they are

>I thought they are all fun people playing basketball and ruling America
yeah lol black people definitely aren't the scum of the earth that have single handedly sucked the life and property values out of almost every major city in the US and committed half of all murders from 1980 to 2007 despite being 13% of the population

it's easy, I just don't consider recent hispanic immigrants Americans

I gotta say movies gave such a positive picture of social structure in there. Almost all movie characters had multiracial friends; white kids greeted black children with hand gestures and played basketball together. When I realized the self-segregated structure of American Society, it was a big shock.

>they make only %12 of the population.
you mean only 12% of pure white left in their cunt

when I was a kid, I saw many american tv dramas that showed their popcorns/pizza/fat people, drug dealers, car chase, white mafia/black/hispanic gangs, cops killing people, etc
so I thought the us was a wild cunt

BEANED

> and thinking most of Americans were black.
I used to think that too.
It was mostly because huezilian media used to porrtray much more whites than burger media.

>Letting your children watch that shit.
Japanese karoshi lifestyle everyone...

>it's easy, I just don't consider recent hispanic immigrants Americans
What makes a american?

the 1st one I watched was this one, but it's too idealized

t. parasite

>childhood
>thought LA = Korean Central b/c many of my relatives and family friends lived there (LA has the largest # of Koreans in the US so kinda true in someway I guess)

> Justice always wins.
> People are beautiful, happy and enjoying the freedom.
> People are rich.

New York and Los Angeles dystopias (Robocop style) surrounded by endless plains and corn farms with rural hicks wearing strawhats and chewing a wheat spike.

>they make only %12 of the population

It's because Black Americans are so good at inventing trends and making good music and doing cool stuff.

Black American = American cultural exports

I didn't know it existed

We were still hardcore socialist when I was a kid

>back then
Cool place whith famous people and tons of cool food.
>Now
Poverty struck shithole with famous people and tons of cool food.

I thought they were racist after watching Spike Lee movies

You literally segregated black people to live in the city while you lived in the suburbs. You decreased those property values, not them.

>What was your perception of USA during your childhood?
I remember NBA was fucking huge here when I was a kid (at least among kids). Aside from that not much, we end up with most of their media and shit but not a lot of it really stands out.

Same as now. Extreme consumerist capitalist country with dumb as fuck masses but some smart people.
I still felt some kind of inferiority when I compared my country, because I thought my country was boring, but just because I didn't understand back then why my country is how it is today

Used to think American women were all gorgeous, well kept blondes that were a bit sassy

Turns out most of them have brown or black hair, chubby if not fat and think the world owes them everything for existing

Don't fall for the meme boys, and americans...just get a mail order bride

I thought America was like in the cowboy movies with Clint Eastwood until I was about 12
