The reason why I took Spanish class is because second foreign language is the compulsory subject in Japan. (You can choose from Spanish, French, German, Chinese and Korean. German seems like the most unpopular language among Japanese uni students tho )

from a professional point of view there is no point on learning it, I'm a native speaker and any company looking for Spanish speakers are linked to services such as call centres or cash collection (try to get any money back from those bastards).
English or German are the best languages when it comes to business.

2bh this. Unless you actually like the language or are planning to travel a lot or make business with Latin America (which is huge by population but not by worldwide market share) there isn't really a point on learning spanish.

On a serious note, you can enjoy spic culture, in terms of literature which is among the better ones, or watch spic cinema, or even watch some latino cartoons.
