Yeah, Poznań does look like Berlin, it was even called a little Berlin in the German era, because Germans tried to rebuild the only Polish-majority city within their borders in a way to make it look like the core city of Germanness so they could claim its theirs. Unfortunately, a lot of stuff was destroyed in WW2.
anyway, nowadays Poznań is a very nice mix of a cute Polish medieval old town + quite impressive German 19th century districts + really cool pre-war modernism. Imo the most underrated Polish city (probably because it has "everything", none of its really stunning so tourists don't like it as much).
Also Poznań and all of Great Poland are our industrial centre more than tourist one.
But for people like Fyrombey, who care about general maintenance and cohesiveness of a city more than about single stunning historical sites, I always recommend Poznań to visit.
Oliver Ross
This is the only hot one so far.

Take a good look at the companies, never will you see something like that in your countries. If they fix the facades here I call game over on your countries and all BG posters should just move to v4, no sense in competing with countries that play in another ballpark.
Camden Sanders
Hahaha no it doesn't it looks like out of the netherlands and makes my dick hard
I wonder how Polish mayors all seem to hire the same construction company to do their bike paths and street infrastructure, Warsaw looks like Poznan and Poznan looks like Krakow. Just those red lines everywhere
Jose Reyes
>all seem to hire the same construction company to do their bike paths and street infrastructure
It's not about the same construction company, just about the same rules and standards.
>Warsaw looks like Poznan and Poznan looks like Krakow.
Polish cities usually look at German cities and try to copy their solutions. Since everything in Germany is in the same ordnung, it's like that in Poland as well.

That should be more interesting for Bulgarians - new projects from Świnoujście, our sea resort

They look like generic Western EU outsourcing to Eastern EU brands
I would be jealous if Google opened a regional HQ in Shitfia but it won't

It actually will lmao

This is literally perfection
If I was sitting by that new bench and watching those big cars and new modern architecture I would think my country is rich like Germany
It kinda looks like that somewhere but it seems average for Poland. Now Poland is identical in development to Western Europe and only needs the economy to match
I think what EUfag was saying that you need to develop economy and wrory abotu development later is wrong, you need to get your cities to look like Poland and then worry about economic growth and trying to catch up with Bavarian salaries LOL
Jaxson Reyes
How much jobs do they have in Skopje and Belgrade? If IBM and Coca Cola is nothing for you then well, I guess you win
Samuel Hughes
Hahahahhaah 404

Google office sofia might be better than that

this is this campus
Actually Polish attitude to Germany is love&hate. We love their urban planning, architecture, mentality, solutions, but we hate that they look down on us so we want them to pay us reparations so we could build a country better than Germany so they already accept us.

There is a google office here as well

Yes. For starters I'd be gassed and wouldn't have to cause my parents strife and misery for being a weeb.

Based. Though you can still stop being a weeb, friend.

Microsoft has 400 employees here and here is also its regional hq, meaning the boss of Tose is Ivan and sits in Sofia.
Luis Sanchez
>and trying to catch up with Bavarian salaries LOL
We'd have to change our whole economy to achieve this, stop being a source of cheap labor and switch to an innovative economy. Pretty much impossible in a Slavic country, especially that Germans wouldn't let us do it. It's like the Dutch disease - we're addicted to German investments and they invest here only if our salaries are lower than in Germany. If we wanted to break this cycle and start producing something on our own, Germans would throw us out of the EU and put sanctions against us so we'd have to survive for decades of economic hardships to MAYBE achieve economic independence and western wages in 50 years. Not really worth it, being a German assembly line is easier and less problematic, while it lets you maintain a decent living standard you don't want to put at stake if you don't know what change might bring.

Poles have German infrastructure inherited from ww2. Check the part near Ukraine, this is the original Polish clay.

One thing I really like about Poland is how they also develop their provincial cities, not just their capital like Serbs do.
Ayden Morgan
Or more that it's a meme website that no one uses except americans and americans cities have hundreds of thousands of jobs while yours have a few k at most
Jack Evans
Poland is not as centralized as Hungary obviously, as you can see, Kraków has only a bit less jobs than Warsaw.
Plus, Warsaw doesn't really have many BPO/SSC jobs, here it's more about the financial/legal sector and such jobs aren't advertised on glassdoor as often (because they're not really international, they are aimed at Polish employees and use Polish sites).
Hudson Powell
Its the world market leader and corporations use it. You just barely have any, thats why there are no jobs for Belgrade or Skopje.
Austin Nguyen
So we also have IBM in Skopje
What was that Shitfian bragging about again
Bentley Carter
+ almost all government jobs are in Warsaw and they aren't advertised anywhere but the government sites.
Landon Rogers
We use our own language we don't google "skoje jobs" fucking retard
Those few k jobs you have in shitfia, budapest, etc are all for expats moving to your shitholes who can't speak your languages, not your actual job market
If we were in the eu and imported foreigners we would have the same too. So cut this shit
Lincoln Kelly

That we have 3000 ibm jobs here
Gabriel Long
This is a better model (inherited from Germany) imo, if all jobs here were only in Warsaw, the city would have 5 million people and housing prices would be insane here, decentralization makes the prices more affordable and we don't suffer from overpopulation (and therefore traffic) as much in Warsaw.
Nolan Rodriguez
I'm trying very hard to stop with anime but it's like a drug.
Sebastian Richardson
No, these are corporational jobs, ask Pshek. Local websites publish local jobs and partially the same adverts you see in glassdoor. You just barely have any meaningful jobs.
Zachary Sanders
You have 3000 jobs for english speaking foreigners who come from EU countries to bulgaria
Not a great achievement when you have a pool of 500M people to pick from
Foreigners can't move here and belgrade so naturally the jobs for expats are non existent
Logan Collins
Oh man really tired of this shit, ok fine
Nathaniel Young
What don't you understand low iq monkey, that you have an open border with 500 MILLION people who can emigrate and this invites foreigners and spikes up jobs in english on meme sites like glassdoor?
If we could import foreigners here we would at least have the same amount and probably more
John Mitchell
>b-but look at all these great job opportunities that we have in Skopje!!!
Ryan Cox
THOSE JOBS ARENT LISTED THERE FOR FOREIGNERS SPECIFICALLY YOU RETARDDDDDDDDD HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO WRITE THIS??!!
Andrew Kelly
another stuff for Fyrombey
this is also a former German city, but with quite distinct architecture, as it's a Silesian city

Sve drustvene klase sam prosao i to sve ludo braco.

Evan Phillips

Which is none.

just from the last week
Why don't you want to visit Poland? You'll like it here. Also Polish SSC users would welcome your opinion on what we can improve to make Poland look even better.
Andrew Davis
Fuck dude this is like an identical copy of alexandarplatz , Poland is so ahead of us it's ridiculous
Isaac White
in Germany they wouldn't let blocks be built on the outskirts, where only detached houses should be though
Elijah Sullivan
>Provincial city in Poland
>Looks better than the richest place in the Balkans
Jason Perry
That's why I think comparing Sofia with Warsaw is kinda unfair, as Sofia sucks out everything from Bulgaria, while Warsaw has to share Poland's wealth with other cities, so Warsaw doesn't really have the same potential and starting point like Sofia.
Sofia is like Cristiano Ronaldo, all the team works hard with little reward so Ronaldo (Sofia) could score and get richer. Warsaw is like Ngolo Kante - humble, hard working and doesn't need much yet still earns quite a lot.
Parker Ross
Where's that? Is that also Poznan?
Luke Morgan
Ok, now some recent developments from Gdańsk (in separate posts):

nope, it's Wrocław

At least no corruption like in the balkans where its literally everywhere
Probably even now poles massively complain of being a shithole, I guess this is a mentality thing since czech say the same about themselves
Jace Stewart
Chase Thompson
>Probably even now poles massively complain of being a shithole
Yes, because we compare themselves to Germany, obviously.
But since I read a lot of blogs of Poles travelling to Germany, they all agree on one thing - pretty much all Balkan countries look like 20 years behind Poland in terms of development
Jace Gray
Sofia isnt Cristiano Ronaldo, Sofia is the team player who gives assists for the incompetent team he plays in (except Burgas and Plovdiv)
Brandon Evans
It's always something about your construction methods and your streets that makes me think it's like comparing africans to europeans
I can instantly tell this is not poland just cause of the floor and it's one of the better areas to live here
Jaxson Cook
ok if you're tired of German cities, now Kraków, purely Polish city

Brayden Perry
Oh here too, except its totally out of mind but still people compare with Germany.
Matthew Wright
and something different, examples of some recent renovations from Łódź
skyscrapercity.com
there are quite a lot of new constructions in the city as well, but I like renovations more, as Łódź would be literally a little Budapest if all of its architecture was renovated
Samuel Williams
That's fcking weird
Luke Wilson
why?
btw, here are new investments from Łódź, not as impressive as other cities mentioned here, but still there are some nice things
skyscrapercity.com
skyscrapercity.com
Łódź was a city founded by the Russian tzar, it was a big mix of Jews, Poles, Germans and Russians that is reflected in architecture. I am kind of interested in this city the most as there's nothing like that in Europe.
Austin Fisher
I'd like to live in a 70 sqm2 apartment like that or in central Berlin where I could slave away on my pc and stack my gold while listening to city noises
I am weird as fuck and enjoy loud ambulances especially the German squeaky ones. These pass every couple of minutes there, same as in netherlands and france. When you return to the ca*m balkans after northern europe you want to kill urself from the quietness
Joshua Thompson
Maybe Aerodrom could pass as Poland
But only cause it's superior to everything else in the Balkans already
Jaxon Murphy
And I won't post Warsaw until someone on SSC makes a good summary.
If you're surprised with the amount and quality of construction in all these cities mentioned above, I can only tell you now that the total worth of all investments u/c in Warsaw now is higher than in these cities shown here (Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk) combined. Including the tallest EU skyscraper (310 m).
But I need someone to prepare a proper summary with all constructions.
Jordan Young
What the fuck is wrong with /ex-yu/? Whenever I see that shitty general it's always just low-quality shitposting, never any actual discussion.
Why are they like this?
Jonathan James
Could this pass as Poland?
Asher Allen
it couldn't because your yugocommieblock architecture is different (imo better than our old commieblocks)
Kevin Kelly
And what about this? Karposh
Jaxson Brooks
>Maybe Aerodrom could pass as Poland
Lol nope
John Bennett
Ex-yu only talks about normie shit, that's why.
Ryder Martin
we don't have any big city in the mountains
David Rogers
sometimes I wish I was like you guys
under 100iq, overly patriotic, religious, ignorant and overall DUMB. I would too argue about richness of my shithole and compare it to other shitholes just like you
