Vitalik is known to make ridiculous claims on his twitter.
Anyone else remember when he said "ETH is over valued at $7" and then he sold a large percentage of his holdings? Caused mass panic in the markets at the time. Of we can all look back now and realize how stupid that claim was.
Vitalik is a very good coder, and understands decentralization like maybe no one else in this game, but he lacks greatly on the economic side of things and any statement he makes involving money should be immediately discarded.
