I don't really see the point why anyone would want to visit Sweden as a general tourist myself. Norway has better nature. We don't have that many great comfy historical towns. We don't have many notable tourist destinations. Shopping and stuff is fairly expensive. There are a lot of great stuff here, I just don't see why anyone other than Swedes and would be interested in it. Then again I guess for Norwegians it might be a bit like visiting Thailand.

I like german visitors. All they do is talk about how different things are here. Even if they're just complaining it's better than the others who try to blend in or are silent. The germans (especially students) actually talk about cultural differences and shit.

Yeah. Here in the gran canaria all of them go to the beach (of course) and there is a whole city almost as big as the capital city on the other side of the island, but every building is an hotel, so all of them stay there and for that reason I don't many.

Sweden is seen as a refined place to visit here, people like your whole midsummer thing and Swedish food is quite cool, there was a fad for it a few years ago. Plus nice winter breaks. People wouldn't really go for nature except going round your islands though, you're right

As in stylish, not something you'd want to eat every day. They have a lot of nice fermented things compared to what you normally get here and it has distinctive flavours and ingredients, it can be very light and fresh and tasty considering it uses stuff that it's from so far north

I have extended family living in this cute sorta touristy village. They get lots of Japanese and Chinese tourists every year. Apparently they can be quite rude, but are tolerated because tourism is such a major source of income for the area.
Swedes don't want to go somewhere that's like home but only has foreigners there.

Mainly because you make it so hard to visit! I was going to visit a friend in St Petersburg for a long weekend but the cost of the visa was more than the flight and hotel combined, stupid. I reckon you'd get way more UK visitors if you got rid of it, paying for visas is an unusual and offputting thing here

I think probably because Sweden has the biggest pre-convinced(often bad) reputation, mainly just because we get the most media attention.

I guess that's why we mainly get "local" tourist. It's nice enough for close getaway for a few days before you get bored, but not really worth an expensive a flight from the other side of the world.
