That mundane instances of people being nice are a "Canadian" trait? Its fucking weird, I dont see anyone else do this, but Canadians act like it's really "Canadian" when they see someone return change at the grocery store, even if this happens all the time anywhere else.

It's true we do this but it's really not a big deal, many people have monthly passes so it's just a formality, also not wanting to look like a nigger to others if its not the case. Once I swiped my card and as it turns out I had no titles left, so I just shrugged it off and took a seat anyway.

Seriously, they are less curt than New Englanders, but aside from that they're the same, there's a greater cultural difference between the North and South than between the North and Canada.

Nobody would see this as unusual in a white rural or suburban area in the US either.
