1. How famous are studio ghibli films in your country?
2. Have you ever watched one? What’s your favorite?
1. How famous are studio ghibli films in your country?
like Kiki's delivery service because it was inspired by the city I come from
i saw spirited away , it was a while ago but i remember it being pretty damn good.
Pretty famous
I like Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke the most
I've seen howl's moving castle, spirited away and the wind rises
all great films
Every year for the past 3 years we've been having these "Ghibli fests". Theaters are usually pretty full when I go.
The Cat Returns is my favorite.
I don't think I've ever watched one.
I think Japanese fantasy of “muh Europe” comes from all these ghibli movies
Thats gay af
Only watched them when i was 10 yo
1. Some are more famous than others
2. Nausicaä
Wait what Grave of the Fireflies is Studio Ghibli?
1.日本では有名だけど他国はどうなの?
2.魔女の宅急便
Yeah and i'm not sure why it's included in a "Gkids" special. Most studio Ghibli films can get kinda dark but fine for kids, but diffidently not Grave of the Fireflies.
These are the only acceptable form of anime
Rest is utter garbage
Yes, but the movie director is not Hayao Miyazaki
i love the music of ghibli
Watch every movie they had and it's quite hard to choose from but if i had to i'd go with Mononoke, Pompoko and Nausica (not nessecerilly in that order).
Spirited Away is the only Ghibli film that's really known here.
I saw it on DVD when I was a little kid, and for the longest time I thought I'd dreamt the entire movie up until I rediscovered it as a teen.
Well, isn't it the best way to teech your kids to appriciate your family and learn that sometimes you have to swallow your pride and do the right thing, especially when it's a "life or death" situation?
And for q2: I've seen a fair deal of them, Princess Mononoke is probably my favourite in terms of art and themes.
Honorable mentions to The Wind Rises and Grave of the Fireflies
i thought it was italy or france
