why not?

its wierd! why was AZERTY adopted instead of QWERTY? must be a mess for videogame controls

Why do French people do this ?

And this .

Also this !

It's so fucking annoying. Don't they realise how disgusting it is to put whitespace before punctuation marks?

It's nice though. In writing you can tell the difference without figuring what exactly it is.

The space comes after the comma retard

who is "the comma retard"
for someone trying to lecture others you seem to lack some knowledge about punctuation

Because we're special. You really thought we would use the same keyboard as the rest of the world?

If you're so special why is the backspace, enter and shift keys in English?

A genoux devant ton roi espèce de fils de pute.
A genoux salope.

W is useless in french, and we need é and ' all the time

Image posted by OP is only a prototype. It is not actually written on keyboards. Anyway, "Enter" is French.

Why do french people exist?

The French Canadian keyboard on iPhone keeps the English format but has a ‘ on the side for the dumb dialectic marks for letters. It’s honestly better if you’re learning French

Brazilians do it too I don't know why though

It's supposed to be made according to the frequency of the use or some letters but people just want to copy the us

> .
We don't do this, actually

Because we are french, not anglo. QWERTY is for anglo people

easier to type in french with that keyboard. and you can change your keyboard layout with 1 click of the task bar if neeeded.

Most countries have a keyboard of their own. The Netherlands too but nobody over here has ever used one and when selecting ‘Dutch keyboard settings’ in older games or programs everything becomes messed up

>mfw using qwerty ansi layout keyboard with right-alt compose to write both frènçh and türkışh characters at the same time without switching to unfamiliar language layouts
>mfw there are also russian characters on the keyboard and can be switched to for perfect quick cyкa блять action

QWERTY is shit tier
COLEMAK is the best

Forgot to mention the reason for qwerty in the first place is less weird access to symbols when programming. Turkish keyboard is qwerty but has symbols that are used regularly in programming in stupid places. Then I tried to use the French keyboard and it instantly pissed me off so I went all in and accepted computer hegemony of US.

not in boland though.
We have two keyboard layouts.
One is called "Polish typewriter" which largely fell out of use (I have never seen a keyboard with such layout printed on it) and is pretty much a part of operating systems as a legacy standard.

The one vastly more popular and a default on all operating system is called "Polish programmer's". It's a regular red blooded american ASCII layout with diacritics available in combination with AltGr.

a gives ą
e gives ę
l gives ł
z gives ż
x gives ź
s gives ś
c gives ć
n gives ń
and o gives ó

As a result typing in Polish is dogshit slow (your right thumb semi-permanently hovers over the AltGr key left of spacebar) compared to english so you can forget about "10 fingers typing".
But the upside of this is you have to know just one keyboard layout.

I dread to think how horrible it has to be to work as a programmer in say Russia or France. One layout for typing the language you speak for everyday, the other to work.
