I have several friends that tried to move to France, they tell me it's a nightmare, it's a pain to open a bank account/rent/visa etc, they lose all the papers, it takes forever, you can't get anything done without an indemnification number, but to get that you need a bank account/lease, etc. I was told that Germany is much easier, very organized, everything runs smoothly and quicker, that Germany is very clean and French cities are dirty, French police are lazy, etc.

Well I do admit easily that french administration is quite a mess since a few decades.

Germany is the better place to find work, France is just terrible in that regard. Macron was trying to fix this, but yeah. He failed.
As for language, French should be fairly easy for you, and a good option if you want to work in Luxembourg where French is more useful than German. But if you intend to work in Germany, then learn German.

french are very rude and stuck up. swiss germans and swiss french hate each other. swiss french acts like the german part doesn't exist and pays more attention to french news then what's going in in the german part. when you go from zurich to geneva you immediately see a degrade in quality of life. zurich is very clean and not many ragheads/africans, trains are always on time, and they are clean, police in german part are strict and competent. when you go to geneva, there is much more crime, pick pocketing, trash, africans, trains are always late, police in the swiss french side barely do their job.
