I'm happy in America because we have castle law where if someone breaks in to my house I can legally shoot and kill them.

sure but what if one person invites someone they don't like over, shoots them and claims they broke in after? by the way Sweden should really implement that law, because we have among the highest rate of gun owners in Europe ( lots of hunters ) and recently we have been getting problems with break-ins and burglary. No law in the US is set in stone, the courts are more important than what the laws say. One of the benefits of having a common law system. If it's obvious that somebody invited an unarmed person into their house and killed them, they're getting charged with murder.

They're not. Our police force was made for a time when we were homogenous and the world's safest country. Now we are facing issues that come with people from dangerous regions, and these crimes are much more severe and violent than what we are used to. Our police force are underquipped, undertrained and not used to dealing with such things and it doesn't help that the leadership has been terrible because of nepotism and politics. Luckily the right wing got their budget passed a week ago so now we will see large increases in spending on the police force, hopefully it will allow them to lay down the law on the criminals.
