The West is doing it pretty well itself without Russian help by discriminating American products on the EU market, refusing to take a part in American wars, expressing will of building military structures being a competition to USA-led NATO, building gas and oil pipelines with Russia, cosing up with China, and so on and so forth. Russia is such a specific country that even if it wins a war, it loses it anyway in one way or another. if you wage a war and win it, it should be usually done with benefit for your nation, so every single person in your country felt that he/she benefited from it.
