What didn't you like? I never played the first two until a while ago and didn't really them. The third one felt like a very clunky game but it reminded me of morrowind, probably the only pc rpg i played at the time.

No.The only thing going for Gothic is good atmosphere and music. Other than that the plot is boring, the combat get stale and the voice acting is laughabley bad (characters talk with southern accent even tho the plot is set in medieval europe)
