Christmas Truce

you sound like a proper faggot

In WWI there was still some civility and the idea of war being a gentlemanly/knightly thing.

Why weren't there similar events in 1915-17? It's not like trench warfare was over.

The longer a war goes on, the more butthurt everyone gets. The Civil War by 1864 was considerably nastier than it had been in 1861.

and you're a gigantic faggot

there were iirc
however after these truces the troops often refused to shoot at each other and had to be redeployed to other fronts
also it's not like there was no hatred in WW1, especially between Germans and French and Italians and Austro-Hungarian troops

Was WW1 the last conflict with any sense of chivalry?

Arguably it was.

officers were extra careful in making sure they didnt truce in later years

>also it's not like there was no hatred in WW1, especially between Germans and French and Italians and Austro-Hungarian troops
Anything in the Balkans was also extreme butthurt. But then you already expected that.
