I'll give you my estimation as an Emirati. I think about 85% of the people (Emiratis) here are of arab origin. Arabs from here, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Socotra. And then 10% are Persian Iranians (Ajam). 5% are Baloch. Les than 1% are Minabis/Minawis. There are a lot blacks too but I'll just count them as arabs. All these people are Emiratis because they were living here before the country got independent and thus they got citizenship when the country did get independent. And not to mention that in our grandparents generation, a lot of men married women from Egypt, Jordan and India. Not my grandparents though. At this point though every Emirati is more or less a local arab because the government has been working on integrating everyone here. But this is all just basically 12% of the people living here. Because the rest of the country is foreigners that don't have citizenship.
