Height is the first thing we recognize about any individual.
We, as people, immediately draw some conclusions about people based off their height.
I hate to KNOW that there are people I meet in my daily life who immediately value me less due to my short stature.
Short men especially are seen as pushovers. A tall man can physically control a short man, attract more potential mates, etc, so why shouldn't they treat you as something lower than themselves?
All people do this by the way. One cannot say "only some people" or even "only stupid people" place stock in superficial traits like height. A minority of people might more vocally express these opinions, but everyone feels and thinks them.
I have no control over any of this. No amount of wealth, status, etc, can improve my situation.
I feel that I am also missing out on an enormous part of life, because I am simply too short to participate in contemporary dating culture. Tinder? I am too short. Clubs? I am too short. Although, if I were tall, I would probably still not. However, I would be making the choice to opt out of these things.
