The EU should NOT transform into superstate with its own foreign policy, its own super-national army and its own central bank and currency.
Here is original Polish recipe for EU 2.0 that could survive and prosper in the future
1) More money being invested into protection of external borders of the bloc from unwanted immigration - so more funds for such countries like Poland which is Eastern border of the EU responsible for protecting the external border of the bloc 2) Coming back to traditional European concept of society based on family and christianity as two main pillars of prosperity and stability - gradual resignation from modern neomarxist ideologies and multiculturalism - it should be connected with forciful reeducation of immigrants of other religions and value systems to help them integrate into societies better 3) The EU should be created as a community of independent countries having their own currencies, central banks and foreign policies, although there should be a rule being made, written in the constitution of the EU about supremacy of alliance with the USA, so all members were obliged to have good relations with the United States. The EU should also remove all barriers for American products and introduce tax privileges for American companies. 4) The EU - instead of creating its own army - should invest more money and resources into already existing alliance led by the USA, because it basically works well for last 70 years, effectively saving Europe from wars. 5) Free trade - yes, free movement of investments - yes, free money flows - yes, free movement of products - yes, free movement of people - not necessairly. Countries should have a right of choice in this matter and they should regulate their needs for immigrants on their own, although there should be made non-visa movement for all tourists who are EU members.
>so more funds for such countries like Poland which is Eastern border of the EU responsible for protecting the external border of the bloc no, an EU agency should protect the exterior border >although there should be a rule being made, written in the constitution of the EU about supremacy of alliance with the USA, so all members were obliged to have good relations with the United States. The EU should also remove all barriers for American products and introduce tax privileges for American companies. fuck off >The EU - instead of creating its own army - should invest more money and resources into already existing alliance led by the USA fuck off I agree with the rest
Gavin White
>no, an EU agency should protect the exterior border
How do you expect some "agency" to do job of whole countries? Nobody is going to protect eastern border of Poland as good as Poland itself. The same applies to Italy, Greece and other "external" countries
Xavier Reed
>4) The EU - instead of creating its own army - should invest more money and resources into already existing alliance led by the USA, because it basically works well for last 70 years, effectively saving Europe from wars.
>How to fix the EU and save it from disintegration? A common enemy in Islam. Which is never going to happen under current European rulers.
Oliver Collins
>Frontex theoretically
Yeah, only theoretically. BTW, thanks of reminding me that such thing exists, i just googled it.
Kayden Flores
i dont care, give us more gibs

>A common enemy in Islam This is a boogeyman the wealthy use to instill fear into the braindead lowest common denominator.

I get your idea tho, I agree that the individual states should keep much of their autonomy. But that doesn't go in hand with demanding more funding for your own state - another state has got to pay for it... And regarding the relationship to the US: historically it's understandable why you Poles want to remain close to the US, but that's not desirable for Europe. Europe should consider the US an equal partner, not its protector or leader. For this, Europe should not be dependent on American protection and also shouldn't go to countries like Afghanistan just because it benefits America
Alexander Lopez
In my opinion, Europe can't exist without euroatlantic bond. Not because Europe as a whole is unable to become independent, but because the USA could become evil towards Europe if it had to treat it only as a partner instead of sort of vassal. The USA might be currently too weak to keep its empire in one piece, but it is still strong enough to do a lot of harm. Europe could not survive another empire being hostile to it, considering the fact that Russia already is while China is successfuly buying Europe off.

I disagree if the will was there Europe could be an independent power block in the world unfortunately it doesn't look like that's going to happen...

Don't argue with Atlanta. He is an American cocksucker. He knows that Poland is a fake a country and only exists thanks to the grace of the USA. He wants Poland to be the 51st of the USA.

>4) The EU - instead of creating its own army - should invest more money and resources into already existing alliance led by the USA, because it basically works well for last 70 years, effectively saving Europe from wars. no, the EU should have it's own army and ability to stabilise its immediate neighbourhood by itself and not to rely on a foreign power

The EU should suck my bollocks and then obliterate them with a force equivalent to the total weight of the millions of migrants they let in from Africa and the Middle East.
Oliver Lee
>no, the EU should have it's own army and ability to stabilise its immediate neighbourhood by itself and not to rely on a foreign power
Europe is too weak to create hypersonic weapon, fighter jets of 5th or 6th generation, long range bombers like B-21 Raider, it is also unable to create an arsenal of 10.000 nukes being launched from land, sea and cosmic space. So, i could theoretically agree with you that Europe _should_ be independent and not rely on the USA, but in reality it can't do this, at least not in such time period that would be enough to protect it in the meantime.
Camden Butler
shut down the tax havens such as Ireland Netherlands and Luxembourg
Eli Gray
ffs how is it too weak if combined we are roughly as rich as the US
the "combined" thing is a problem I agree but in theory the sheer power is not the issue, we have it
Zachary Barnes
Europe being rich is a fact only thanks to the USA as well, because American navy makes it possible for whole Europe to trade freely. It is not given for granted, it costs money and America pays whole bill.
