Bored, and because my wife and I have visited Russia and really enjoyed it. Figured I may as well pick up a foreign language where the inhabitants rarely know English (other than China, Russia has had the lowest number of English speakers of any country I've been to)

Pronunciation maybe, but isn't the grammar easy compared to English for example?

For example "Кaк дeлa?" which is "how are you"? It's literally just Кaк = how and дeлa = "fare", "how fare?".

I agree with this to some degree. The Cases/Declensions are a nightmare for me personally though since I never encounter it in English.

absolutely no. Grammatical genders, roles, abscense of definite and indefinite articles etc. Anglos can't comprehend that
