I visited it three years ago, went with a Greek workmate of mine
The city was pretty solid, I'd give her a good 6-7/10
But yeah people like to meme on the internet but Southern Europe had definitely a harder problem with refugees in the last years than we in the North, the city was basically full of niggers and Arabs

You're gonna take a walk through the campus and see countless gangs roaming free, you're gonna notice many of them digging little holes around trees, they use it to hide their drugs.
You'll also see them harrassing women.
At some point they're gonna ask you if you want to buy some weed or pills, prepare to hear that question for the rest of your daily life involving the uni campus.
The campus has like one security guard, the police is not allowed to go in thanks to a stupid law from 1974, so the gangs use the place as a jail where they're the warden.
If someone decides to brandish a knife and slit your throat while the rest chant in Arabic he can do it, you will die in vain and then you'll be all over the news.
